for pc to switch, you can just restore the pc save to the switch using jksv. the switch will auto-convert it. for switch to pc however, please refer to this post:

The patch created by Potato_of_Doom is not available anymore and I found a way to transfer saves from Switch to PC without cloud saves!

The author is VitGil ( the original post in Russian - ht tps ://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=939714&st=3720#entry94382380 ).

Here is the English translation:

The main issue is that the latest version for PC (1.32) is "older" than the latest version for Switch (1.60). Because of this, you can bring saves from PC to Switch (they will be automatically converted by the game), but you can't do it another way around. However, there is a workaround. You can use Offzip.exe software to unpack the save file and some HEX editor to change the version of the game inside the save the file.

1. Make a backup of the game saves using Checkpoint and copy the desired .png and .sav files to your PC.
2. Download the Offzip ( ht tps ://aluigi.altervista.org/mytoolz.htm#offzip ) software and unpack it somewhere. For simplicity let's say you unpacked it to the folder "new" at the root directory of D drive ( D:\new ).
Open the command line and enter the following command:

The extracted file will have a similar name: 0000000c.snf.
3. Download and install som HEX editor (the author of the solution uses HxD ( ht tps ://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ )). Open the .snf file (from the "pc_save_file" folder) in any convenient HEX editor, and go (the key shortcut for HxD is Ctrl + G) at offset C16 and change the value to 12 (your value can be 15 or 14 or something else, it doesn't matter - change to 12). Save changes and close HEX editor.
4. Rename recently edited .snf file to the name of the original save file from the Nintendo Switch (e.g. ManualSave_5a81a_7e40f000_5e09c00.snf ) and copy it along with the .png file with the same name to the directory with saves for your Witcher 3:

You should be able to load modified save at your PC.

PS Works only with manual saves. This method doesn't work for autosaves.

The author tested this with 1.31 GOG, I tested with 1.32 GOG, some folks in the thread confirmed that this method worked with the Steam version as well.

Previous uploaded mods in this thread will still work in update 4.04a, but the mods will conflict with the update, making the game thinks it's ver 3.7, so options and functionalities from update 4.04a will be missing from the options menu and won't work, such as the L controller to sprint and Cloud Progression for example.

Also, the instructions in the first post needs to be updated.
Instead of placing the bms extracted mods into:
"atmosphere\titles\[your title ID]\romfs\"

they're supposed to be placed into:
"atmosphere\titles\[your title ID]\romfs\content\content0\"

Here I've converted a few basic mods that will work with update 4.04a:
- Remove Intro Movies & Story Recap
- Health Regen (Adaptive Lowest)
- Over9000 Weight Limit
- Stack Your Items

It's for the EUR Complete Edition. You can change the title ID (01003D100E9C6000) to your own version and it'll work. Have tried it with the USA version (0100BFE00E9CA000) and had no problems.

*Edit: These mods still work with update 4.04b.

i dont know if is save file cause game heavy lag

after enter village start track huge bird... the game feels always lag every 30 seconds


and after you find your lover
you going to castle

you take shower and try change clothes

the problem is the clothes when you try get them

they all gone in 1 second

disappears

Latest versions don't use Cloud Save anymore. They've been changed to Cross Progression.

I also have a new server to base Switcher modding out of - I ran a fan translation for a Fire Emblem game, and already have a robust server with active mods and admins, so Switcher modders should be right at home - and safe from users constantly bugging them with requests or updates. Before you do any modding, you'll need to find your game's title ID.
If you have the American version, your title ID is "0100BFE00E9CA000" (with no quotes).
If you have the European version, you'll need to use this spread sheet, provided by @masagrator, to find out what your title ID is:


How to convert mods to work on Switch:

1. Make sure your mods don't include textures or scripts. If you're not sure if a mod includes scripts, just download it and look through its folders. If you see a folder called "scripts", then... it contains scripts, obviously. That means it won't work on Switch - for now.
2. Download QuickBMS from here: https://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm
3. Download this BMS script, made by @zkitX, from here:
4. Make a new folder on your desktop and call it "ModConvert". Extract quickbms.exe, and witcher3.bms this ModConvert folder.
5. Search through the mod you want to convert until you find a file called "blob0.bundle" - it should be near the top. Extract blob0.bundle to the ModConvert folder.
6. Click on quickbms.exe. In the prompt that appears, click on witcher3.bms. In the next prompt, click on blob0.bundle. Give the program a moment, then follow the on-screen instructions to close the window.
7. A new folder should've appeared inside ModConvert. Copy this folder into one of the following two directories:
   • Place your mods inside: atmosphere\titles\[your title ID]\romfs\
   • If these folders don't exist inside your atmosphere directory, create them.
