Lmfao it didnt go anywhere. Perhaps you outta reread that thread. it seemed like people did offer the thread of choice to help considering the lack of support of the gateway from what I read there.

Don't do that...
Go to https://3ds.hacks.guide/ and use that to install Boot9Strap, then update your system to the latest firmware after installing the latest version of Luma.

I know this may sound like a broken record and it's not the answer you're looking for but i also agree you should stick with Luma. Everything you could do with Gateway you can do better with Luma.

As for cheats i use it extensively (not online of course) without issues, i use this database:

https://github.com/FlagBrew/Sharkive/tree/master/3ds

How to use: https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/wiki/Cheat-Engine
But i like the copy paste of my Backups without installing them too.

now the qustion is is it possible or not? Also isn't downgrading possible as well?

As stated above, this guide lets you run GW on the latest firmware via a rigged up EmuNand. https://gbatemp.net/threads/gateway-gw3d-11-10-b9s-and-cfw.550040/
Poking through the latest Gateway release I found from digging around the internet, it looks like it may come with a .cia to be installed that's vulnerable to the MSET exploit (which you would be going for if you wanted the DS profile exploit more than a modern setup). I cannot, for the life of me, find a way to launch launcher.dat aside from the .3dsx method. There are numerous exploits for 9.2.0-20U, but if you wish for a recommendation, I would recommend Soundhax. If I'm not mistaken, you can use the GW launcher to reinstall MSET?
Truly I'm clueless. But I gave it my strongest suggestion.

What you are trying is possible; but you'd be hard pressed to find a soul that can recommend it in good conscious.

On the note of downgrading. Don't. The only remotely reasonable reason to downgrade a N3DS from 9.2.0-20U is to get your OTP from that old 2.1 version that was rigged up to get otp.bin back when Arm9LoaderHax was a big deal. B9S is the big deal now though. And the N3DS did not officially release with any version older than 9.0.0-20U.

I also wish to acknowledge the following.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/ - This is a resource for converting your Gateway save files
https://github.com/ihaveamac/custom-install - This is a downright divine tool for rapidly installing .cia files.

My recommendation is Luma. I wish you the best of luck!

And even then, to stick with something so outdated... it's just stupid. A little funny, sure, but still. Using Luma is FAR easier and safer.
gateway still has the save state thingy, the fact that luma doesnt have that makes gateway a necessity for speedrunners so they can practice.

they could also just use Citra on a PC
1: some games dont have great compatibility
2: lots of speedrunners will switch to practicing a portion of a run if they lose a run to it.
3: 99% of speedrun leaderboards disallow citra
4: playing on an actual 3ds is going to feel very different than playing on a xbox controller or something.

Thanks guys i appreciate it,

I have luma with GW now but launcing GW Emunand requires somtimes 20× try adding to that the horrible screen flickering. It is really a waste of time and stressfull.

I learned that bootntr plugin can make cheat engine tried to use it but it was updated

You mean installing the ds exploit is as easy as that? Using( Mset ) on GW options?

I am not certain. I believe that is the case, but I cannot promise your system won't be a (fixable) paperweight if you go through with that. Finding anything on the usage of Gateway these days is nigh impossible, however, I found messages from users expressing information like "you can install Micro SD Management as a .cia and not really lose anything" from which I conclude;
- There was a reason to think you could have lost that
- ...Which would entail altering the System Settings of a New3DS system.
Also, these files exist

How you use them, I am not certain. I would be willing to bet bluecardfix.cia is an altered flashcard whitelist, and mset_usa.cia is a modified system settings. Installing them with FBI may even work?

Again, my speculation comes without warranty and is based off of vague memories.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
