okay created my own sdcard following the https://rentry.org/MarikoEmuNAND like @binkinator said i should have a look at it

i guess i should skip SX_Gear_v1.1.zip yes then i got everything done

watched the video @DankBreak270 linked so i think i should be all set

when the chip is installed i will do a backup from emmc raw gpp and boot0/1 and copy that to my pc :-)

should i go to OFW and disable backing up my saved data befor i insert the SDcard yes?
cant do it now cause the switch is already in parts and is just waiting for the chip to be installed

Not surprising TBH, RP2040 chips are very cost effective, much cheaper than legit STMs and could probably be cheaper than the GD32 as well, if the cost of gd32s goes up manufacturer will probably change to 2040 to keep price down

That was my conclusion as well. Time will tell I guess if we see them hit the market.

Sorry for stirring up the discussion about the hwfly clone :-P
but the firmware might be already set for the rpi never looked at it nor do i have a clue about the firmware, chips looked to me like its the same chips as on the Hwyfly :-)

but like @rcpd said time will tell what coming next

correct. No need for sxgear since you’re not using SX. Disable save data before you create the emunand.

His installs are generally a good way to see it done before doing it. He’s not bad at what he does.

Instinct-NX is based on the rp2040, but it’s very different than the 2040. I’m pretty sure that firmware will not work on a stock 2040.

It is not an rp2040 as the pictures show..It is a gowin fpga on there and a gd32 just like the normal hw ones...

So why there is v2.5 fix OFW boot ?
Maybe that mean you can't boot CFW on sysnand ? it s confuse for this point.

You can boot on OFW, and CFW is only for emmumc and doesn't work for sysnand.
at the same time it's a bad idea to put a cfw on sysnand never mind the modchip.

i cannot tell u that as far i know u can`t boot in sysnand maybe something changed and i oversaw it

Anyway you guys can make a new thread with all the install tuts and files as the first post. That way u can update the main post whenever. Also helps cut down the 100+ pages .

Also people should add the resistors on the board on the right trace lines.
