Eat more pizzaI looked down upon the device I had just purchased. It greatly resembled the previous iteration, though with a larger size and assorted small details and buttons added.
I had purchased it to feel whole again, staying current with the electronic events within my community. The longer I stared at the product, the more I realized that I felt empty, and that no amount of spending or collecting could possibly fill the sadness that grew within me. It was a void. A gap that I distinctly felt, despite it not having physical form.
I purchased the device to play video games and feel satisfied, but the reality was that I spent money on frivolous entertainment, a dead end that promised so much more. A dead end that would only demand more resources of time and money before it could be considered a "worthwhile experience."
The solution to the meaning of life, the missing puzzle piece that would fill the void in my heart and soul, remained unsolved. I had discovered that I had gone in the wrong direction.
The Switch 2 broke me.
Is this what you were going for with that title, @K3Nv3?

Eat more bread.I looked down upon the circular meal I had just purchased. It greatly resembled the previous iteration, though with more toppings and cheese added.

I purchased the food to appease my hunger and feel satisfied, but the reality was that I spent money on frivolous bread, a dead end that promised so much more. A dead end that would only demand more resources of time and mastication before it could be considered a "worthwhile experience."

The pizza broke me.
You want to extend this bit, but I want to end it.Eat more bread.

Eat more Xbox. You want to extend this bit, but I want to end it.
My child walked up to me. "Let's play some four-player TimeSplitters 2 using the official PlayStation Multitap peripheral." I spent time with family, and I realized that I was no longer in deep emotional distress.
The PlayStation 2 fixed me.
THE END
Though I had finished my story, Emptiness: A Story of Switch, Pizza, and PlayStation, but Hollywood beckoned for a sequel. "They demand more, here's some money," they told me. I felt the narrative had completed its natural progression. I did not wish to muddy my creative work with unnecessary addendums, frivolous characterization and plotting that would not deepen the viewer's connections with the scenario, its actors, or their own humanity. I was out of creative ideas. I had become what I feared most: An empty vessel. I gave into the pressure and extended a story beyond its organic borders. I made the character eat the Xbox.Eat more Xbox.

I never realized that acceptance from my community and unparalleled popularity were just one novelty fridge away.

It concerns me that the whole point of this topic is to have everyone psychologically break down. We're all prisoners in Nintendo's endless maze of circular logic and perpetual purchasing.Yes, deeznuts will break you![]()
