Xenoblade chronicles will have a day one update 1.1.1 hope it fix these problems.
It's an engine problem. Xenoblade 2 never got any fixes.

Docked I always use full overclock settings so I don't have to worry at all.

I'm probably wrong, but if I recall, they said one of the many updates for XC2 improved (just a bit) the framerate and resolution stability.

None of the settings files have been changed with the 1.1.1 update. Can't say what changes they made to the code, though, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Hmm, I'm on OS 10.0.0 with Atmosphere 0.11.1, but XCDE 1.1.1 would need 10.0.2 and AMS 0.12, if nothing major changes between those versions, I'll stay on the base game. Lazy to update all of this right now for nothing.

Well, they updated some of the quest scripts, so maybe they fixed a game-breaking or crashing bug, I honestly don't know.

Well, the game leaked 2 days ago...

The physical version?

Unlike Xenoblade 2, Xenoblade: DE's romfs is all loose files, making modification much easier. The same settings as can be found in Xenoblade 2 can be modified, and more. I've compiled all the config files I found into proper LayeredFS format for others to use - the main files of interest are /config/scene.conf and /monolib/shader/lib_nx.ini. Place the 0100FF500E34A000 folder in /atmosphere/contents/ or your CFW's equivalent.

Thanks to @masagrator for the inspiration to look for these files.
No thanks to myself for spending 2 hours trying to figure out why no modifications were working before realizing I hadn't put the files in a romfs folder.

Thank you for doing this! It is awesome to have this level of customization this early.

here is a ready to use package, for both atmosphere and SXOS

Sorry but with this pack my switch says it's running 1785 921 1600 (both handheld and docked), much higher than the "oc" values shared in this thread. Is this correct? Is my switch is gonna explode?

Last edited by thieve,
i didn't use any OC on SX and it still very nice looking with the mod from 1st post and config setting form our friends here

did you put the folder in sxos/titles/ ?

I copied it over and I must admit not sure if it worked or not as it still looks the same.

I've OCed to these values yes, to avoid any frame drop and allow confortable play in handled and docked mode. use this file with my pack for lowered values if you prefer.
