Wondering if that one Heart to Heart is fixed in this one.
The one where Tora mentions
his grandpa holing up in his lab and gooning to reading "ecchi no hon" pervy books
The localized version changes that to "Book on Blades"

All bonding scenes are re-translated. Some blade side-quests too (Musubi's one, Hana's and few other).

Does this make xenoblade 2 uncensored? Do i need to patch the japanese or english version of game?

First post answers this... but to TLDR it, you need the US English version of the game updated to the latest patch and select to play the game in Japanese at the start of the game (so, any DLC required to accomplish that will also be necessary)... this isn't really gonna change any visual 'censorship', just text-based localization changes that have been pretty heavy throughout the series.

So when will they remove visual cenosship?
Not my mod, so no idea... but I'd venture to guess it's outside the scope of what this is aiming to do. Not sure what exactly you're expecting of a project that is aimed at 'retranslation' to do in that regard, or what exactly you'd like to see restored... but if it matters that much to you, perhaps look into modding it yourself and do the requisite research to facilitate that.

I believe there's no visual censorship but dialogue censorship in this case
which is why this is a Delocalization & Translation Patch

you may be confusing Xenoblade X with Xenoblade 2 here
(the breast slider as far as I know its restored with the author's patch for Xenoblade X, which is also progressing smoothly)

Oh ok.
But what about breast sliderin Xenoblade X DE, is there mod to add it and decensor linns outfit?

I admire the dedication to this work, but can't help but feels it takes away a lot from the for a western reader. Localisation is another task apart from translation, and also should take into account cultural differences, and how for example to evoke a sense of ancient lore, of mythology. For Japanese people, as a religion like Christianism is not native to their land, it does the job for them and works perfectly to evoke that feeling of foreign ancient lore, but to a western reader, things like the Holy See or the Pope are very real, modern and tangible concepts that fail to make that impression because they are very much near western audiences, whereas changing it to instead take roots in Greek mythology achieves that idea of ancient lore far better.

You clearly didn’t read the first sentence of my thread.

I have no interest in arguing with people who insist on rewriting cultural works just to cater to those who lack the ability to understand basic aspects of a foreign culture. The religious aspect is just one of the endless list of unnecessary alterations that dilute the original work’s intent in this case. It’s unreasonable to alter an entire piece of media because some people can’t distinguish between fiction and reality. Your arguments make no sense, and the notion that religious elements should be changed simply because the West perceives them differently than Japan is fundamentally flawed. Moreover, it’s not even true that this game is about evoking an ancient feeling. Christian symbolism, which the game is fundamentally built upon, is an integral part of understanding what it’s all about.

The original work’s context and cultural nuances are important and should not be altered to fit a different audience's preconceived notions. Changing references to something like Greek mythology just because it feels more "ancient" to a Western reader completely undermines the integrity of the original piece. Cultural works are meant to challenge perspectives, not be diluted to match local comfort zones.

So, to put it simply: no, you’re wrong. Let’s leave it at that.

No. Translation and so-called "localization" have only one purpose. It is to convey the meaning of the work with minimal losses. That's all.
If you do not understand even such fundamental things, perhaps you should not read foreign literature at all. You do not need it.
The so-called localization of this game is garbage.
The faster the AI deprives these so-called localizers of their work - the better for the players. (Japan is already working on this)

scuse me every time i try to run the patch on ryubing it just auto crashes any reason to why?

I am literally making this account right now just because I truly want to thank people like you for the service you do. I've gotten deeply interested in retaining the purity of these games from Japan, and am absolutely appalled by the vandalism that is done by the western market. In the process of learning Japanese, these sorts of things make it even the slightest closer to the creator's original intent. Again, thank you for the work that you and people like you do

I will add, I don't care what anyone thinks of me in my pursuit of enjoying media that is in its purest forms and are not tainted for the western market, enjoy your altered media that was made with misguided intentions that deviate from the original writer's intent. Ultimately, if it hurts people to know that they don't love the actual media they consume but rather an altered version, that is their problem

v0.2.6
- Many fixes mainly related to line breaks and grammar thanks to community submissions.
- This release begins the retranslation of the Iira – The Golden Country DLC. Approximately one-third of the main storyline dialogues are now translated. The focus will shift to Bonding Talks and other side content after the main story is complete.
