Sweet.
Neh, I herd otherwise ;p

Good luck with it.
Be sure to check EVERY game with ABGX.
Doesn't matter if you get one from yer friend n he said he checked it.
Recheck it.
It only takes like 5 mins.

Of course. So is it necessarily required to use an ihas burner for XGd3 if I still use ABGX and imgburn? Because I see tutorials online on how to do it with other drives and have them still be patched (of course using verbatim DL). The burner itself isn't badly priced but like I said I have a laptop which can't have the drive replaced.

Good news (I think) used burnerMAX to see if my drive was compatable (using a cheap DL disc, I would use Verbatim when I actually burn) and it said there was a script error but this is my log:

BurnerMAX Payload Tool - Version: 0.15

Found 2 CD/DVD drives F: G:

DVD DL +R detected
BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !
BurnerMAX not enabled, YET !
Scanning: F:\ [hp DVD-RAM UJ8B1 H.03]
L0: 0x86DD
L0: 0x88B1
L1: 0x86D9
L1: 0x86E9
L1: 0x881D
Patching: ...............
BurnerMAX IS enabled !

Free Space: 8,738,897,920 bytes
Which I *think* is a good sign. Does that mean that I can just use this in place of an ihas burner?

*Edit* And it looks like imgburn is also saying it's 8,738,897,920 bytes. So would all I need to do is patch the iso with ABGX360 and burn with imgburn?

Woot! Dunno what the script error was about, but it seems fine. Should I do a test burn now on one of the generic (gigablock) DL discs since I still have to send my 360 to Sickly or should I wait until I get the Verbatim discs and the 360 flashed? And provided the burn does work on the generic disc, would i be safe using that disc on the 360 instead of the verbatim?

Because I'm under the impression that the reason we should get verbatim is because it makes the writing process easier, but if it succeeds 100% on the generic shouldn't I just use that one instead or should I burn it again?

No, keep using Verbatim.
Don't settle for less.

the only way I said do a test burn is to find out all the data gets burned correctly.

Nope, cheaper discs usually contain lesser dye on the edges of the disc.
The data there isn't stored as good as Verbatims.

Ahh so even if it burns correctly on the generic, it won't run as well (or as long) on the 360? But the test burn can be done on the generic right?

Okay I was just about to burn but I have another question. Patched it with ABGX360 and it patched it up and stuff and while looking up a guide to what settings imgburn should be I found this.

Now that's all fine and dandy, but where it says "If you have a Lite-On DVD Drive, go to "Change Advanced Settings"" I'm confused if it means the drive that I'm burning to, or my 360 drive.

Because the drive I'm using to burn it is an HP drive which I'm sure isn't a Lite-on. (I'm using burnermax pro to make the dvds big enough). But my 360 drive IS a Lite-on. Should I do it either way?

Well after 50 minutes it seems like it all installed fine. But kprobe isn't wanting to install for some reason. I'll keep trying it but in the event that it doesn't work is there another way you can think of to verify the disc?

i got kprobe to work but the results... Were worse.

Date : 9/30/2014 6:32:48 PM
Model : 2-2-0-0 F:hp DVD-RAM UJ8B1 H.03
Disc : DVD+R DL , RICOHJPND01 [Ricoh Company Limited]
Speed : 4x
ECC blocks sum (PI/PIF) : 8/1
Scanned range : 0 - 2076880
Sampling count : 3229
Errors : 1
PI Max : 3342
PI Average : 1037.00
PI Total : 3340503
PIF Max : 3328
PIF Average : 9.54
PIF Total : 30382

Do you think that it's because I used the generic DVDs? I'm really hoping that I don't need to get the ihas burner.

According to Ubergeek on TX, these are the Kprobe results, deemed safe.

Ubergeek said:
PI MAX should be 100 or less & PI Average should be 5 or less
PIF MAX should be 4 or less & PIF Average should be 0.20 or less
Nero Score should be no less than 90

Seems yours is way over.
Could be the DVD you're using.

Yeah that's what I was basing it off of too.

Hmm.... Well it was just a test burn. Hopefully it will fare better with Verbatim discs. I just really hope it's not my burner's fault. You'd think that since the burner is compatible with burnermax tool it wouldn't be an issue, even though it's a stock HP drive. Theoretically what would happen if I played a backup that failed the kprobe test on the 360 but only offline and when the 360 is disconnected from the internet? Would it still be a flag that Microsoft will see and be likely to ban?

And I'm looking at getting these discs. I don't really want the 50 pack because I don't see myself playing that many games. These good enough?

Edit: It should be noted though that since my burner isn't a lite-on, Kprobe shouldn't even work.
