I was having some serious trouble installing Lego City Undercover to my usb hard drive. At 18GB, it's the largest game I own. I kept trying to install the game, and it failed 3 times in a row. I finally just tried to install it to system memory. It installed without any issues. I thought I could just copy the game from system memory to my hard drive once this was done. This failed at almost exactly the same point Wupinstaller was having trouble. I decided to try switching to a different enclosure for my drive at this point. Sure enough, things started working correctly.

Long story short, make sure you're using a reliable drive enclosure!

What's the title, and since 441 and 442 have to do with tickets, what method are you using to generate your ticket (Archive, that title key site, or another site?)

As a test, I pulled and installed Balloon Fight (EUR) with Helper pointing to that title key site. It installed without a problem. I don't use CBHC, but I haven't heard of cases where Haxchi Sysmenu and CBHC produced different results with wupinstaller.
I only had problems with VC injections which I downloaded from that iso site. everything else worked. I will download them again and maybe look how I create a fake ticket myself

ok, i commited the WIP miimaker install mode
that work but still get a code dump/freeze sometime (no risk for your wiiu ;) )
i explain how i got this dump in the commit comments

hope someone can find the problem and help me with this...

thx

you finally found how to fix the return to miimaker!

Maybe you should make a new thread (maybe you did?)
So I can add it to wiki and we can keep this thread for the y mod only, even if your GX2 version is based on it.

What is better in the mii maker installing method?
nothing. it's better with the channel method.

the "miimaker" mode refer to the homebrew launcher being launched from the Miimaker channel when using the browserhax to launch it.
browserhax is replacing miimaker with the homebrew data to get SD access from that channel's rights.
Miimaker does not have enough rights to install a game, so it requires an exit to system menu which has the install rights, and return back to miimaker (which is replaced by wup installer) to launch the next game install in queue etc.

When using Homebrew launcher in channel mode (not launched using browserhax), then that channel has enough right by itself to install games and WUP installer do not need to exit to system menu to install each game. all is done inside WUP installer.

so, there's nothing "better" in using miimaker, on the contrary.
that's only a possibility kept for users who do not have a CFW and the HBL channel installed.
