Gaming Would this product be able to be used as Screen Capture?

I'm walking with this product for a little while now:

Wondering if it would work or not.

May someone knows more about the hardware of the current Portable consoles (PSP,DS,3DS).
And can tell me more about this device.

It's said to work with some ipods, and most Cam recorders, and some mobiles too.

Just my question is, would it work with Portable Consoles, like the DS.
I would like to screen capture my DS this way actually.

And if there is like no chance that the Video recording is gonna work, than this cable would just work for Audio right?
So even if theres no video, I could use it to record sound.

You need a capture card on your computer, not just the cables.
Do you have a capture card?

As for the audio you could record it if you got another cord (either replacement or secondary) to hook it up to your sound card's mic jack.

DS 3.5mm port only supports audio as far as i know.
for just audio it should work fine.

Yes, I have a Capture Card (EASYCAP), and I could record sound with that.

Just, as 'thedicemaster' stated, will the (3)DS(i) support video recording too with this kind of cable?
And it seems I have to take it as a no. hehe Yet this cable could record just sound? That's fine too I suppose, heh.

DSi doesn't support it either.
and i doubt the 3DS will support it, if will support any form of TV-out it will probably be a custom plug, or some mini-hdmi cable.

for just audio recording you might be better off getting a regular audio-only version of this cable, or even just a 3.5mm M/M cable which allows you to record with your regular soundcard instead of an expensive capturing card.

I already have a capture card (cheap EASY Cap) works fine.
