Hmmm....going to give that a go now then. If this is possible do you think I can recover it all then?

doubt it, but you can try ofcourse.

The thing is, you can use HBC once you have a cIOS, before you have a cIOS installed which you can use for the other apps you need cboot2 to load the app since there's no vulnerable ios that you can use to install stuff

ok so I used the Any Title Deleter Mod to delete IOS 222 223 and 250.

I kept 249 there since it is used

now I start up the Hermes cIOS Installer and it wants me to select an IOS for install so I use 249

then I select to install 222 (the default)

then I say use IOS 38 (Recommended)

then it downloads a lot of files........

and finishes successfully

Minor point...

If you have cIOS rev14 installed as IOS249 (which you must in this scenario) then wouldn't you be deleting the cIOS "backup" if you delete IOS250 in your first step? If so you should probably reinstall cIOS to replace your IOS250 "backup" of cIOS.

Ok, got that. forgot to delete the v before I pasted it.

DOH!

To get the full database for NUSD go here:

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader/database

then open your database.xml and copy over everything from the database code section and paste it over everything, then save and your nus should show everything that you can download

Cheers Amarok.

Ok, downloaded that and put it in the WAD folder, ran the HBC and WAD manager (1.4 by Wanin) and I got which IOS to use, it was default at 249 but no option to delete.

# Use cboot2 to run Wad Manager 1.4 and delete IOS249 (if you dont do this you'll get error at next step)
# Use cboot2 to run cIOS38rev14 installer and choose "Do not reload IOS" following Network install.

I got the 1st step fine, but how do I do the 2nd? When I start cboot2 it automatically goes to Wad Manager 1.4, but cIOS38 is a dol. Is that what the "try this 2nd" is for?

Doh, appearently you don;t know how to use this.

Continue until you get to the screen where you can install wads.

Highlight the IOS249 wad.
Click a.

It says install, press right/left and it changes to uninstall.

Sorted that I think, changed the WAD file to use to 250, then selected SD WAD, then uninstalled the one I downloaded, everything went ok.

I know Amarok, bit of a noob at this but I got that done now. Now going to try to install a cios.

I tried cboot2, but I cannot get it to load in bootmii IOS mode (run through the HBC). It does load through bootmii on boot2 tho. What gives?

Not sure what that's about. But as long as it runs one way or the other you'll be okay.

Run DOP-IOS MOD v5 and Trucha Enable IOS36.

Are you sure you want to install IOS36 v3095?
Apply Sig Hash Check patch in IOS36?

Do I want the 2nd option applied or not?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured THAT is what the Trucha bug is, but I also applied the ES Identify function patch. Hope that was ok.

Now I got this:

Download complete. Installing to Title 00000001-00000024 v3094...1...l:
ES_AddContentStart(0000000100000024, 0) failed: -1017

Install returned -1
Installation complete!
ERROR: Something failed, (ret -1)
Continue?
