Pokemon HGSS save does not work:
Pokemon HeartGold (USA), R4 original, Wood R4 v1.04, 2GB microSD
i renamed all my saves to .nds.sav so they would work and when i load into wood r4 and load my Pokemon HGSS ROM, it keeps coming up with the menu that it gives you when you first start the game (control info, adventure info, no info)

i tested on akaio to make sure i have something in nor that is .ds.gba. on wood r4 i get "there is no device in slot-2." YWG mentioned that it does a gba header check, which this passes. what is odd is that this means any .gba dump with a proper header should be working. yet no one can even boot slot2.
if anyone gets passme working or a .gba in nor to boot, let me know. i want to debug this. i've already tried a few combinations of homebrew/roms and none are working.
Just moved from YSMENU to Wood and it looks awesome. Just wanted to say like somebody already did above that Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey (U) works 100% without needing Pong's patch (saves work and there are random battles).
Also I renamed all my R4 saves from .sav to .nds.sav and they loaded well.
Wario DIY require extra 32MB for the save, so if your SD is out of space, it will hang on loading.
GBA game does work if your have 3in1 slot 2 card. How I got it to work was press Y on the *.GBA, I tried loading to RAM, doesn't boot to game, loading to NOR, doesn't boot to game. Tried backing to main menu and load from Slot-2, hang on white screen. Restart and run the *.GBA and it boot the game. Don't know if it will boot from the start if I just run the *.GBA game.
Just test running *.GBA without pressing X (loading to RAM or NOR from menu) and game does boot. All my *.GBA are in GBA folder.
Tested MyVirtualPiano.ds.GBA homebrew using same method and it does boot. Take a little time to boot from the GBA bios screen. Once it boot, when you restart your DS, it automaticaly boot to MyVirtualPiano and not to your R4 menu list.
Lol, now my 3in1 is stuck booting to MyVirtualPiano instead of R4. I need to reset my 3in1 memory. If this happen, just hold Start+Select to boot to R4.
i started lameboy, and my 3in1-rumble-pak began to rumble on full power for about 3-5 secs. the battery light went red.
then it stopped rumbling, the led went back to green and lameboy appeared.
does not happen on all homebrew.
I haven't been playing my DS lately so I went and checked out GBAtemp and I saw this new wood firmware, I downloaded it and installed it works like a charm. I had to rename all the .sav to .nds.sav which kind of sucked but whatever. I've got a question now, I've seen it on GBAtemp's main page that the new wood firmware gives some kind of wii conectivity? Is that true? 'Cuz I know R4 couldn't connect to my PBR, but now if it works.. that'd be amazing! Has anyone tried this yet or did I just read something wrong? I'm using original R4 and NDS.
P.S. I've noticed that cheats on my Pokemon Platinum don't work, the clone code freezes after using it. And also, where do I enable/disable cheats with wood firmware? I haven't found a single option, I've only found that enable AR and turned it ON.. but it still doesn't work.. And it kind of sucks that I can't see what codes I have for each game

I think you mean:
Can the Wood Kernel use the compatibility information from the AKAIO firmware.
Answers:
1. Unknown, because the source hasn't been released.
2. Probably not, because AKAIO is closed source and encrypted, so how do we find that compatibility information?
