Hacking won't turn on =[

so after changing the shell of my ds, putting everything back together,
when i try to turn it back on, the light turns on for about a second, then the bottom screen flashes once, then turns off

any idea how i can fix this? or whats wrong? =/

Sounds like you didn't seat the top screen ribbon cable fully. They go in farther than most people think from what I've heard. It sounds like the DS is doing its power-on self test, not finding the top screen, and shutting off as a result.
