I know there's been that video floating around forever that the Dolphin team released where they emulated the gamepad on Linux, but that's not what I'm asking.
I'm curious if it's feasible for there to be some way to capture the video feed wirelessly. I can't claim to know anything about this, but from the bit of reading I've done it seems like it uses some slightly modified WiFi signal.
Because of this, is it feasible for this signal to be either hijacked or routed through a PC to capture the video feed, while still leaving the image/controls on the WiiUGP?
I know there's the company who sell the gamepad capture device, but being in the UK with import VAT etc it would be horrifically expensive to get ahold of a pre modded one, and it doesnt seem possible to buy a gamepad by itsself to have modified.
I haven't seen any mention of anyone trying this since 2013, so I was curious if there had been any progress anywhere or if it had been discovered to be flat out impossible. It's strange to me that there's been so little chatter, especially considering how big the rise in people wanting to capture and record their game footage has been in recent years.
Failing that, has anyone done any research into the mysterious bottom port on the WiiUGP, and is there any chance of getting a video out from there? I'm curious since I've read that that's how Nintendo themselves apparently do it.
Thanks!
