Gaming Windows 7 Ultimate Help

Errr... I found a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, nice and genuine online and I wanted to know if there was a way I can upgrade from Win 7 Home Premium straight to Ultimate without a reformat of my drive, since I have some nice stuff on it. Worst comes to worst I will but if there is any way to avoid it lemme know.

if you have the key just go to windows anytime upgrade

OK, now I need more help! turns out that windows 7 ultimate was not so genuine and now I need to downgrade to my legitimate edition of Windows Home Premium. is there any way I can get around and do that? I just got cold feet and I'm worried because I might be locked out by M$ for using a not so valid key...
