Are these indeed screenshots, or concept images? I don't recall the conference ever clarifying that...

No. Toon Link was only used in the DS games because the DS could never have handled any other style while still being in 3D.Don't you think that Nintendo is really milking Toon Link more than he deserves? I mean, he's getting more games than any other Link incarnation, generally speaking.
They're WIP screenshots. Likely just a shot of the island model, and then a still of the Link and Toon Link models. Are these indeed screenshots, or concept images? I don't recall the conference ever clarifying that...
I said generally speaking. Second, the Gamecube did it too; so once again, generally speaking.No. Toon Link was only used in the DS games because the DS could never have handled any other style while still being in 3D.
Aside from those, all we have is the original, a remake, and Smash.

so you'd rather play the whole game with the gamepad? the mote when used properly can make a game great like in the prime games.Ugh no. I'm sorry but the motion controls in Skyward Sword is what killed it for me. I don't like them. I like motion controls, but in Skyward Sword I thought they were just bad and shouldn't be in the game. Though I will admit, the bow and arrow in that game was surprisingly fun to use, but that's it.

It WOULD'VE been the obvious choice if the console was compatible with connecting four WiiU Gamepad Controllers, in which case the TV would show, say, a map and each player would have their own screen. As it stands today, Four Swords wouldn't work without connecting... 3DS'es, for example. And shouldn't they be remaking 4-swords? First they release a console whose main interesting part is a handheld controller (like...you know...a gamecube and a GBA combined), then they start pimping up multiplayer in all sorts of aspects, and now they want to remake a Zelda game of the gamecube. Seriously...isn't four swords the OBVIOUS choice?
Four Swords needs multiple screens, one for every player. If the Wii U supported/used multiple gamepads, then sure, but with only one it's unlikely. They could possibly use the 3DS though.Meh...I don't care much about windwaker. I can always play it on my wii (via DM). Or on dolphin, if I absolutely want some pimped graphics.
I don't understand why they want to remake pretty much all the 3D ones over and over, yet keep all the 2D-versions as close to the original as possible?

I know I'm going to get some negative reactions from this, but I'm hoping that newly released Zelda game will be a four-swords similar thing.
(which wasn't really a Zelda game...if the characters had different names and the style was just a tiny bit different, nobody would have even noticed similarities).

You're welcome.Four Swords needs multiple screens, one for every player. If the Wii U supported/used multiple gamepads, then sure, but with only one it's unlikely. They could possibly use the 3DS though.
Edit: Dammit Foxi.
It supports two Wii U Gamepads. And I guess you can use a 3DS for the other two.Four Swords needs multiple screens, one for every player. If the Wii U supported/used multiple gamepads, then sure, but with only one it's unlikely. They could possibly use the 3DS though.

I assume it will.

a remake of an 11 yr old game...serious?
How can people say the screens look glorious lol? Do you even graphic? It would be laughable if durango/orbis showcased graphics of that quality.
nintendo ported all their old crap to the wii, ds, 3ds etc etc and now they are doing it again with the wii-u. I didnt buy my wii-u to play 10 yr old gamecube games with slightly upscaled graphics.
