Title says it all...

What's "the BACKUP launcher"? I know there will be updates to SoftChip in the new year, and i read from WiiGator working at at least some new cIOS based on IOS55. What update do you want for one of the launchers?

cSM pretty much gets rid of a need for another update. Plus, 0.3g is pretty much awesome to the max. Whats there to update other than like 5 games not working?

You can already dump Wii games, not sure about GC though

You can dump Wii and GC games.

And
1. Games running from USB, I think crediar did this already.
2. WiiSpeak, big wishlist.

3. Would require custom ES module in IOS. (Much harder than DIP)
4. Gamecube, maybe at a later point. Would require custom MIOS.
5. Dumping games, can do.
6. MP3 in games, like WiiSpeak.

My Wish/Dreamlist has already been completely fulfilled.

Just a few short months ago all we had was some simple tools, homebrew and a dream. The advances we've seen in the Wii hacking community in the past 3 months have been nothing short of astounding. My Wii today hardly resembles itself from back the beginning of September. Added since that time.....

1. DVD Playback
2. Streaming Video Playback
3. Backup Loading
4. Linux w/MS Mouse/Keyboard/GUI
5. Operating System Downgrade to 3.2U
6. Starfall
7. Beautiful Custom Channels
8. Disc Dumper
9. FTP Server
10. Homebrew Browser
11. WADDER!
12. . . .

Need I say more???

Thanks to all you great coders/artists/testers/contributors for these gifts you've given us this year of our lord 2008.

Threw that in for the Christians this being that time of year and all.

Only thing I really wanna see in the next few months is a better Linux GUI distribution. Would be nice to get Keyboard/Mouse/Wifi working on a build of Gentoo.

Yea truthfully what else can a person really want from what we already have?

The USB 2.0 would be the best though...because after that the rest will fall into place eventually...

We won't need 6x for backups....they will be right on a 1TB drive with plenty room for more!

Even with USB2.0 my list would be still be a wishlist or a to-do list, as USB2.0 solves nothing from it. These are general problems which need to be solved, no matter how the discs are loaded:

- real region free compatibility, working 100% with every game
- IOS Version patching on the fly
- all games running(which are released until now)

But i think this stuff is possible
