I haven't seen anyone discussing it, and still have some things to do that need online, but I don't want to brick my system.

Always make sure your Luma/CFW is at the latest version first, and you'll be fine.
Seen too many newbies update sysfirm without checking their CFW first... tragic.
To be fair that won't brick the system. They just won't be able to boot until they fix it. The worst ones are when people are still using A9LH.

Github shows the last update as V13.0.2 on August 13 2023, I'm on that Luma firmware, so am I safe?

It’s worth noting that the latest OFW does not brick your system. It changed a few things that made Luma3ds temporarily not work.

Thanks so much, I'm very new to modding consoles (thinking of modding one of my old wiis to) and am just very stressed about losing one of these old things since they're so expensive now.
