Hacking Will i still have Gamma/softchip without SD?

If I use gamma/softchip, do I still need my SD card?

Because Im planning on using my friends SD card to install everything but I wanna know if I can just use it to install everything and give it back to him.

yeah just install the cios and anything else you need then install a gamma channel

I installed it for my mate of my sd and i got the sd back so it works
