I'm really surprised that Nintendo localized this! I hope this will start a trend to localize more japanese games...

Strange game, but fun. Any idea why it won't work with freethewads though?, if I run it through that first, it won't install, gives ret-4100 on installing ticket. Without it, it's fine but then I can't launch from system menu and have to load it through triiforce instead.

Works fine on mine launching through triiforce. Black screen if I try through system menu. Wad installed as normal through wad manager, then launched through triiforce with default options (no forcing video modes etc).

Make sure the needed IOS is installed (i'm not sure what one, maybe IOS53?)

If you want to launch from system menu you may need to install region free SM hacks such as preloader or startpatch.

This is how I got the game working on my PAL Wii:
1) Patch the wad with "Free the Wads"
2) When installed set the Wiis system language to English

yeah that worked for me now as well. to set the language to english was the main problem. I didn't need to patch the wad because of a priiloader region free channel system hack

Its a decent game but if you take away the theme its just another game no one would care about.

Cho Aniki is better.

Is there more than one version of free the wads?, as every time I try free the wads on it, while it does work, I can't install it

. Clean one installs fine though, but then I have to use triiforce to launch it as I don't have any region free hacks installed.
