Going to install this to NAND.
Also why Nintendo would ban you lol?
Sun & Moon had advantage that if you played early, You would already had legendary's giving you a big advantage in multiplayer.

You can still install it, just apply sig patches first and disco from the internet.
This is the method I use... is this sysnand? And will I be able to install out of region games with it? Thanks in advanced.

I think i do have sysnand... so I cant install it? I better wait for a US version to be available.
Basically , sysnand references System Memory , which is on everyone's Wii U. So , when you enter CFW (Mocha CFW) you enter to a firmware where you can install any game from any region.
Just remember to enter to you CFW when you want to install BOTW.
Alternatively , you can wait for a US release which can be installed without CFW if your console is from America

You need to put the game files in a folder called "install" on root of sd.

You can use mocha or can run this from homebrew before installing and before each time you play.

Sysnand is the menu that your Wii U console runs when you turn on your Wii U. From there you need to run the Homebrew Channel so you can run your Custome Firmware.

So, no folder for the game? Just all the files in the install folder? What about the update? Do i have to put those files later so they dont get combined?

Not the individual files, you would put the folder of the game and the folder for the update inside the install folder. You may need to install the game then reboot and then install update.

Thanks, I think I can install it... it just won't download. The download fails on Wii U USB helper.

The game folder has 2 files and the update folder

Here's the Sd Card setup

WUP installer mod
SD: install/Game folder ( to install the update replace the game folder with the update folder)

WUP installer Mod Y
SD:install/The Legend Of Zelda - BOTW
SD: install/ The Legend Of Zelda - BOTW update

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
