It says I need to be running base 58, but the installer says I'm running base 61, not sure why.

If I change to Base 58, install and then change the base again, will the forwarder still work?

No, you simply need to install IOS 58, no need to make it a base.
Just download the IOS 58 wad
Install it with Wad Manager 1.7
Delete the Homebrew Channel
Reinstall the Homebrew Channel
Install the channel

But before all of that, what System Menu are you on?

As Porobu said just use the hackmii installer to reinstall the HBC channel. Just be sure to install ios58 first.

Got it, looked to be working but vids freeze after about 30mins.
Doesn't happen on same vids through HBC though
