Pretty sure i did with img burn also and did manaul layer break of 2084960.

Hi,

I did the update and went well.
I then inserted a full ntsc iso backup of ssbb but i get the 001 error as i did b4 i did the update.
I run the ssbb patched with trucha signer and it worked fine.
Im just wondering why im still getting the 001 error.

Let me guess, you burnt it with Nero?

Yes i did burn with nero.
What is the problem with nero.
What should i burn it with?

This seems to be the common problem. You still get #001 error with an unmodified SSBB backup on WiiKey 1.9g and now 1.9s when burning with Nero and certain burners/media. Apparently if you use IMGBURN the #001 error will go away.

Just to let everyone know
the wiikey update discs are not final
hence why they are not uploaded on the official site yet
I suggest everyone waits till the real discs are up

If by 'official site' you mean www.wiikey.cn they've been up almost all day. Did you mean to say configuration discs?

The config discs are available on Wiinewz.com and have been there almost all day as well.

the config discs everywhere are the ones we uploaded and everyone rehosted. These are not Final discs, just the BETA disc

Hello, I did the update and It said it was a succes. I then had to reboot but I can't see a settings menu or anything. Is there any way to get to the settings menu?

Well,. 95% of the people did not expect this update, and still ,. its here.
Believe me, wiikey team are our freinds.

I try to base my knowledge on facts, and the fact is that they are still alive, wich is great

Any reason why you would have had to use a layer break? I would have imagined I could burn the Update and Config discs to normal DVD's, not a DL DVD.

Okay, I just 'updated' then... I got freakin' DRE's the first few times, then it recognized. Then, the WiiKey Updater got a drive error... Tried a few more times, eventually it worked and updated... Is there a way to tell? My untouched Brawl DVD9 still gets Error #001, I guess that's a PAL issue... Thoughts?

Firefox i used layer break on ssbb not the update disc sorry.

The wiikey team needs to fix the 001 issue asap.

Its not my wii because if you patch the disc to remove the update then all is ok.
Im just curious to know why the backup of an ntsc iso gives me the 001 error.

I don't think people quite understood OzModChips.

The current 1.4 config discs floating around are BETA config discs. Wiikey will release proper config discs on their website soon as per their news post. Hope this clears it up

Thats why its not a good idea to have to many ppl with a beta release as it will 100% guaranteed to get leaked as this release did.
