1. Is WFL Wiiflow4? is is it based off of v4?
2. I've seen a plethora of screens where there are multiple consoles on the screen. I figured it was sourceflow and plugins within WFL, but if I'm reading Neek correctly, I could do it with WADs and neek2o, correct? Is there a reason why someone might prefer one over the other?
3. I've nuked my card, except for /apps/hackmii installerV1.2, and just reinstalled bootmii as IOS (post-2008, no boot2) as well as reinstalled HMC. is Neek my next step or is there something else I should do first?
4. The only folders WFL needs from Wiiflow is ./wiiflow/settings/, ./wiiflow/plugins/ and if wanting theming, ./wiiflow/theming_lite, correct?
4.5. @fledge68 why not have WFL work as a standalone, or have it copy those specific files over into /wiiflow_lite?

You guys have been so helpful, it's unreal. thank you so much!

2. I have my Wiiflow Lite setup with emulator plugins and box covers much like you've likely seen. I got most of my covers from this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/cover-collections-for-emulators-with-cover-support.324714/. I only use Neek2o to launch N64 wads from my emunand since the N64 emulator isn't perfect like older consoles. I never actually load the neek menu screen, there is an option for each vc wad to launch using "Neek2o mode". It took a little figuring out and help from this forum but now when I want to launch a vc wad it loads in neek2o, then when it closes it switches back to my real nand and boots back into wiiflow lite. All of my older console emulators and roms run off my SD card, and the wii and gamecube games launch from a usb HDD. Here's the thread a couple pages back where I got help setting up neek2o: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite.422685/page-66.
As for making your source flow look nice I'm using this theme: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite-theme-rhapsodii.511833/. I hope this helps! I just spent last month setting all of this up

if i put the wads in emu nand in usb that means i will not have to extract it in ShowMiiWads ?? If I have to use ShowMiiWads then ill have to use WiiFlow to extract it from emu Nand ?? it seems lot of work to make it work.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also im using vWii and dont want to brick it if it is not compatible with vWii ? only on Wii?

using
youtube.com/watch?v=DrE9m0Ie8bk,
drive.google.com/file/d/1YxEHnnLoJGtqWz7Qj5YppIFXnhFfVosB/view?usp=sharing
,
redringtones.com/chinese-instrumental-music/
or
redringtones.com/chinese-flute-ringtone/

Someone should be able to recreate the NihonFlow WAD that is missing from the pack on WF4 site.

It's prefectly compatible with vWii and using emunand there are no risk of bricks.
Read this post from Fledge for a step by step guide:

Okay, got masterpack running (mostly), and even got a tweaked version of rhapsodii (the black background). I've modified the source_menu.ini, and setup every plugin ini to point to the correct location in the SSD. However, I've ran into a couple things that I can't figure out.

1. NES games load from USB but none of the others do.
2. Also, I noticed that HMC can load everything from USB, however I can't get plugins to load that way.

All of my games are on the USB SSD
what should I check for / try to see if I can fix this weirdness?

since all of your plugin games are on USB - start wiiflow lite, go in main settings and then partition settings and set plugin partition to usb.
if you have plugin roms not on usb (SD) then you will need to add partition=0 to that plugin ini file. 0 = SD, 1 = USB.

Yep, that setting is toggled. Everything on that page of settings ( and all other settings) is pointing to USB1, but still the sourcemenu isn't working from USB only. I've checked that the source_menu and plugins folder are identical from SD to SSD, and all paths are pointed to USB. I've even switched ports and set startup settings to point at USB0 instead. Nada.

Also, it has to convert all Wii covers every time it boots with just USB. I'm not sure what's going on there.....

EDIT:
Also cannot see any plugins, or themes, if pulling just from USB. I'm running WFLv5.1.0, so latest as far as I know.

Also, it's this menu you referenced, right?

@fledge68 I do, but I'm trying to set it up so I don't have to. As of right now, for sourceflow menu + themes to work, I need it plugged in, even if everything is pointing to USB and HBC is loading from USB as well.

where is apps/wiiflow? SD or USB?
where is wiiflow settings folder? sd or usb?

can you up load your wiiflow lite ini?

apps/wiiflow is on both SD and USB. they are identical.
wiiflow settings folder is in both, however the one on SD card has a couple more items than the one on SSD. I'm moving the missing files over right now.
wiiflow_lite.ini in SD is more than double length from one in USB. copy it over? or do a merge conflict resolution and just move over missing lines?

edit: copied over the longer one to USB, and replaced all instances of `sd:` with `usb1:`. plugging things in now...

if you are launching wiiflow via a forwarder channel it is finding and using the one on SD. you need to remove the apps/wiiflow on sd and the wiiflow settings folder on sd and use only the ones on usb.

I'm launching from HBC, not from forwarder. I haven't installed any wads yet (it's causing problems exiting certain emulators like snesgx, since I'm missing the hidden return to wfl v2 channel. can't find the sucker anywhere)

after copying the new wiiflow_lite.ini and the missing settings files, themes and sources load up. thank you so much! now to stop crashes from happening when exiting certain emus. :D

wiiflow channel installer will install the hidden channel.

Got that one from the masterpack, was one of the first things I ran. I'm not sure why it's breaking like that, then.

flow:
load snes9xGX with any game
pause game using wii home button
select "Back to Wiiflow"

expected: wiiflow (or wfl) loading.
actual result: black screen, need to power cycle the wii.

You need to delete those wiiflow folders on sd or remove the sd card. The hidden channel will check sd first then usb.

The SD card has been sitting on my desk for almost 24 hours, haha. it hasn't been in the wii in a very long time. And I've ran the installer with just USB too.

if your using wfl as wiiflow, which i think you are. there is issue where it doesn't return to wiiflow after playing plugin games. i have since fixed it and it will be in v5.2.0 soon.
