v5.0.0 released today!

download them here - https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite/releases

for other downloads scroll down to find v4.4.0 - for themes, forwarders, and plugins.

side note: real life is busy now with Thanksgiving and Christmas and birthdays and appointments. don't expect many commits for the next 2 months. I'm waiting to see the patch to get mario kart wii to work with wiimmfi.
Thanks!

You're the best!

Something inexplicable is happening in the latest version with dosbox.
Once you start a game, controls are not working anymore! Nothing responds, not even the home button to exit the emulator. The only working button is the power off in the wiimote. Every other plugin is behaving as usual, but not dosbox:(
I didn't touch any config file, just installed the new release over the old one (wfl as wf).
Just before updating I was playing with dosbox with no problems, I don't know how it is possible

question,
is wiiflow able to be injected to the wii-u home screen now with newer vwii injection methods that i read about?
i am still not 100 percent clear on that part of it, injecting homebrew DOLs i should say.
i havnt had that hard drive space to actually play with it yet.
im aware that this is not the vwii injection thread but i was just wondering if anyone has or tryed it or is doing it, especially with wiiflow lite (that of which i have not upgraded to yet)

i will upgrade when i finish all my covers. my cover project has proven to be the most time consuming thing yet. it kinda holds me back from learning newer stuff that comes out.
opinions and/or help are appreciated!!!

When you load WFL you see a large loading screen and then the smaller animated loading screen. Are they both needed? It feels to me like the large one is just dead time, and the smaller animated one is the one that is disguising the loading process.

Thoughts?

The large one is to show that wiiflow started. The animated one is basically shown when the list of covers is being made.

Is it possible to use CRAP 3.3 to create a forwarder that uses WFL?

I have an install of CFG hanging around just for the forwarders I created using CRAP, it would be good to be able to re-do them with WFL

wiiflow (lite) excepts the ID of a wii game (only) as an arg.
so i assume thats how CRAP works - boot wiiflow and send the game ID as arg.

Ah, you'll need to merge those missing lines from English.ini

These are the new strings for v5.x

Code:
boot=Boot
cfg701=Hide all source buttons
cfg702=Hide GameCube button
cfg703=Hide channels button
cfg704=Hide plugins button
cfg705=Show banner in game settings
cfg706=Enable fanart
cfg707=Fanart default loop
cfg708=Fanart default ending delay
cfg709=Rumble
cfg710=Wiimote gestures
cfg711=Screensaver
cfg712=Screensaver idle seconds
cfg713=Use HQ covers
cfg714=Display music title
cfg715=Randomize music
cfg716=Music fade rate
cfg717=Random game boot or select
cfg718=Source Menu on start
cfg719=SD only
cfgb2=Game loader
cfgb5=Video mode
cfgb6=Game language
cfgb8=Default GC Settings
cfgb10=Devo Emu Memcard
cfgb11=Nintendont Emu Memcard
cfgb12=Nintendont Wii U Widescreen
NinMCdebug=Debug
NinMCDef=Default
NinMCOff=Disabled
NinMCon=Enabled
no=No
select=Select
yes=Yes

I got these strings by downloading the last v4 English.ini and the current v5 English.ini , then running
Code:
comm -13 v4.ini v5.ini > new_lines.ini
on the command line

A pleasure!
I submitted my translation to github. The old italian.ini was old and it was missing many entries. I translated all the new ones and corrected a few of the old ones.
