it was when I got the internet connection working, and then I also updated the Wii firmware from the system menu - seemed logical from a 'latest is best' point of view.
Good morning,

post a syscheck report here, please.

you say you updated the wii system of your wii to the most recent one, so probably now your CIOS are (stub) empty. so that's why you need to post a syscheck report.

Thanks for reading me

Do the WiiFlow settings regarding 'force cIOS' make much differene?

What about the screen settings (system, game, etc.)?

I did not rename the file/folder structure on the SD and USB like one has to for USB Loader GX. Have the impression that WiiFlow does not require it. Or does it matter?

Sorry for the lame question ...

What exactly are all of the WADS / Channel Forwarders that were included with ABZ's Pack? ... specifically all of the CIOS WADS.

I understand I will need a WiiFlow Channel Forwarder as well as PriiLoader Forwarder (if I would like to have WiiFlow open on start-up)

I'm using Tetsuo's Pack and so far exiting all games leads me back to WiiFlow ... so I'm just curios what those other WADS were for?

your syscheck report is correct.

use an external hard drive to put your Wii and Gamecube games on it. :yaywii:

USB keys often give a black screen or do not start.:nayps3:

Don't know how to stop tilting PCE and PCE-CD crystal covers prefer classic book effect, that make my headache.

Someone know how to stop rotating before display the coverbox ?

That's an issue related to Rhapsodii Shima, not Wiiflow.
I thought that animation was cool as it recalled the spinning nature of CDs, and could make things less static.
But you're not the first one reporting it can be annoying, so maybe I better remove it in a future update.
Here we talked about it and you can read how to remove the spinning.

Edit: I recommend method 2

I'm noticing a random issue when testing out GBA games on mGBA

Every so often games will freeze/crash right after the "Game Boy" splash screen, usually with a high pitch squeal.

Trying the same rom again will usually work fine after. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I'm using zipped roms on an SD card ... WiiFlow 5.5.4

Hi, thanks, and sorry for the late reply.

Yes, I am aware that pen drives appear more fickle than hard drives.

I don't have a spare external HD, but more to the point: the issue does not just occur when trying to launch games from the pen drive, but also from the SD. In fact, the three games on the pen drive will run when launched from the file explorer, whereas some on the SD won't. None seem to consistently run when launched from the coverflow interface.

Does WiiFlow use different settings when launching from the file explorer versus coverflow?

Hi, i have downladed the covers for my Gamecube games for WiiFlow, but some covers are missing. Is it possible to manually download and copu the missing cover on the SD card? If so, how can I do that?

Thank you!

collect the covers of your games here ==>
https://www.gametdb.com/Wii

right click with your mouse on the image ==> save the image as (on your PC ==> then paste the image on your SD, in “covers” or “boxcovers”

did you download them with wiiflow's own cover downloader? (the one in the settings window). you have to download the latest GameTDB info file from there as well.

yes i tried as usual to download them with the Wiiflows cover downloaded but some covers are missing...but i downloaded them manually and i added them to the \wiiflow\boxcovers folder, thanks!

Last question: is it possible to auto-update Wiiflow? Currently i have this version:
https://i.postimg.cc/HxhGSvkW/Whats-App-Image-2023-10-24-at-22-56-24.jpg

Is there an updated version? if so, how can I update it? Is it necessary to verify any other fw version into my Wii U before to update WiiFlow?
thank you!

thanks, as i have only to update it, i see that i have only to copy both apps and wiiflow folders of the latest release (5.5.4) and overwrite my current apps and wiiflow folders of my current release (5.4.9), nothing else, tight?

Just another question:
1) currently i have Homebrew Channel 1.1.2. Is it previously necessary to update it? If so, how can I update Homebrew channel?
2) And i would like to update Nintendont too: currently I have the 6.496 version, is it better to previuosly update WiiFlow and later Nintendont?

I mean, which is the right update sequence i have to follow? Homebrew channel, WiiFlow and Nintendont?

thanks!

i know it's been a while but for those of you having issues with v5.5.4 (especially start up issues). please try these 2 tests version.

test 1 - wfl v5.5.4 compiled with older devkitppc r39 and libogc 2.3.1 plus old libcustomfat.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/yzwem0na8f4q4xi/wiiflow_v5.5.4_test1.zip/file

test 2 - wfl v5.5.4 compiled with devkitppc r44.2 and libogc 2.4.1 and the newer libcustomfat.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/cbdahwi2u8ksa1m/wiiflow_v5.5.4_test2.zip/file
Does it need it clean install or just overwrite the files ?
Also any files/folder backup needed ?

for the games themselves you need to go into the games' settings menu. best just to mess with the deflicker option for each game. 480p pixel patch is for only some older wii's to fix a hardly noticable pixel issue in 480p.
