Hello, everyone! Thank you for stopping by to help me with my issues. I have spent the last 3 days trying to hack my Wii for the first time, and now that I think I finished, I have many many problems with my wii. Let’s start off with my USB loader GX. Everything seemed fine the first 2 hours I started trying this app out. The only problem was that whenever I would quit a game, and then choose another one, 100% of the time, no matter what game I pick, it will send me to a black screen, disconnecting my wii from the tv (since the “please insert AV components” popup message appears) even though the console is still on. I didn’t mind that too much, I just needed to forcefully turn off the wii and open the app again. No biggie. But now whenever I try to play Just Dance 2014, it won’t load. After pressing “start” a black screen will show up and freeze my wii. (Wii control does not turn off, but I can’t press the home button or anything). I don’t know if this happens with other games too, I’m still trying them out. And the LAST problem with my USB loader GX, is the fact that the games are WAYY TOO LAGGY!. Like, Mario Kart sometimes gets UNPLAYABLE because its fps drop incredibly.
so that’s my USB loader GX trouble. Now Wiiflow:
First, Wiiflow does not detect my USB Hard drive games, even though USB loader GX does. Wiiflow’s message says “no games found in SD card”. I don’t have any games in my SD card, my games are in my HDD, but it simply does not detect them. I have tried checking and changing some system configuration I saw on this forum and nothing worked. I can only see the Wii Channels (like photos, news, weather, mii...) but no games anywhere.
I read somewhere around here that a fix could be to set the startup configuration to force cios loader to On, and some other thing to “250” instead of “auto” and it should be fixed. Well... I did that with no results. What can I do? I’ve tried to download and set the syscheck you asked a lot for on this forum with a program, but I do not have a windows computer. All the hacking I’ve managed to do was with a friend’s computer they lent me for 3 days. Today I had to give it back. Is there any way I can give you a syscheck with a mac computer?? Does that program work there too?
Thanks again. And hopefully you can help me

Thank youuu!! That fixed it for me!! I remember vividly trying to do that, but not being able to change “Game partitions” to something else besides SD. Now I see the games! Thank you again <3

Hopefully using WiiFlow instead of USB loader GX will fix my other problems :))

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

For Wiiflow: go to Settings --> Game Partitions, then set Wii, GC, etc. to USB1.
Be sure that in Settings page 2 ---> Startup Settings you have 'Mount SD only' set to 'No'.
That was it!!! Thank youu so much! I remember vividly trying to change the “Game Partitions” but not being able to select anything else besides SD. So thanks for the help!! <3

Hopefully using WiiFlow instead of USB loader GX will now fix all my problems I had on that app :))

Edit: I was using my phone on this page, and I thought my other message had been deleted. Sorry for double posting. :)

Sorry to bother you :( but now I have encountered this problem. First time I load a game on WiiFlow, and this happens. Do you maybe know what is it?

Code dumps can happen for many different reasons:
- Corrupted game
- Corrupted HDD or SDD
- incorrect cIOS installation when you modded your wii
These are the most common ones.
Some more details from you would be helpful.
Which game is it? All the games?
What storage device are your games on? And how is it formatted?
How did you transfer your game to your device?
What file format is your game?
Can you post a syscheck, so we can know more about your system files?

On the Wiiflow, the error message has appeared with the Mario Kart Wii game. However, any game I choose is unplayable. A black screen will take the screen and never leave. My games are in a hard drive,(HDD USB 2.0 FAT32 format) and all games are .wbfs (and some have a .wbf1 idk what that is. I bought this game hard drive :( )
I hope this is enough information, and if not, please don't hesitate to ask me again!! I appreciate the help <3

Make sure your HDD is formatted with MBR and not GPT.
Are you using WBFS manager to transfer your games to the HDD?
I'm not the best one when it comes to syscheck analysis, but your mod could be a little outdated. You coud try to re-mod it with ModMii

These are the first issues I see,...
And here's where I'd correct them using d2x-cios-installer
Code:
IOS245[37] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
IOS246[38] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

IOS250[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
And add this for good measure:
Code:
IOS251[58] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

Unless anybody else thinks I've missed anything..

This will be the new recommended setup by modmii and wii.guide very shortly

251 with base 58 was recommended by some guides just for one game, SpongeBob's Boating Bash, and that game works with d2x base 58 AND 38 (as well as hermes cios's). D2x base 38 also provides keyboard support for animal crossing so there's really nothing that base 58 does exclusively that another cios can't do and more.

So to summarize, 249 base 57 can play 98% of games, 250 base 56 takes this up to 99.5%, and 248 base 38 takes it up to 99.9%.

More info to support this is here:

So @XFlak , is it gonna be recommended to leave it as is, or is there some easy way to reclaim 251 without somebody trying to think they need to try and "uninstall a wad"??

Actually we're still debating, base 57 to slot 249 and base 56 to slot 250 are certain, and the 3rd one is certain to be base 38, but we're debating whether to install it to slot 248 or 251.

Another thing is certain, modmii will never recommend someone uninstall a wad. If users who know what they're doing want to uninstall a cios, that's fine, but for most ppl leaving unused cIOSs in a couple extra slots isn't a big deal

Thank you, guys for your help! So, just to clarify. This is what I should change using d2x-cios-installer, right? I can't download ModMii since I don't have a PC, only a MacBook :(

From IOS245[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
to IOS245[37] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

From IOS246[37] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
To IOS246[38] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

From IOS247[57] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
To IOS247[53] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

From IOS248[55] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
To IOS248[55] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

From IOS249[38] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, ES Identify, Acceso NAND
To IOS249[57] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, ES Identify, Acceso NAND

From IOS250[58] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v8final): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0
To IOS250[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

And finally adding this
IOS251[58] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10-beta52): Bug Trucha, Acceso NAND, USB 2.0

If this is what I must do, do I have to do the same process I did to install the cIOS I already have? or is there an extra step I must follow in order for me to change these? Thank you again in advance <3

Hello.:)

I think maybe one Thing is:

d2x- v8 -final
d2x -v10-beta52

makes "maybe" a Difference on today´s
Flash Drives (many, many Users are still using it against Recommendations)
and HDDs (in Detail their used Controllers in the External Housings)

So maybe a Wii with 249(56) d2x v8 works perfectly with an WD Passport Series
wheres the same Setup is not working in an Wii with an Seagate Expansion Portable or vice versa.

But that is onyl a Assumption and, I think,it also cannot be proven....

Maybe also an unproofed Thing is:

The Releases1271 and 1272 from the USBLoader GX
works Way better with Loading with Base 57 in Slot 249.

The Enhanced Mod r1272 works better with Base 56 on Slot 249.

Both tested with IOS58 as Loader´s IOS.
But that is also not a Fact.

Thank you.:)

Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
AI assisted game creation might become a thing
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

Don some VR glasses and gloves and talk to the computer and paint entire worlds
