Hacking WiiFit Autoupdate

From my understanding, when you put in WiiFit it asks for update of system. I heard this is not only update to 3.3 firmware but also update for balance board.

If I was to buy Wiifit with balance board (for the wife) and I have a softmodded wii at 3.2 with starfall to block updates, by doing this and skipping update, would this render the balance board inoperable?

Updated using WiiFit. Trucha signed discs stopped working. Downgraded to 3.2, trucha discs work and the balance board still works.

Or install a cIOS to let Trucha work on 3.3.
But if you want/need star fall you should indeed downgrade.

I have the same set-up as you - 3.2u starfalled to block updates and Wii fit and the balance board work perfectly. The balance board works for every game I've tried it on - Wii fit, Shaun White, and Raving Rabbids.

OH SNAP! I didn't know Raving Rabbids was a balance board game. Looks like i got some more downloading to do this weekend after the two in progress finish.
