...which is shown in the WiiU Main Menu when hitting the home button. On the top right there is a little symbol indicating Wii Remote (instead of the Wii U Pro Controller symbol) when I am really using a Wii U Pro Controller (or 2). This doesn't seem to be a problem when playing native Wii U or even VC games, since all buttons work normally.
Retroarch is now messed up, though. Having set the Wii U Pro Controller as primary input source, Retroarch doesn't react to any inputs after startup (as it obviously assumes that I am holding a Wii Remote). It does work temporarily if I apply the workaround that is described here on gbatemp (moving Wii U Gamepad out of console range before starting Retroarch). If I restart Retroarch without the workaround however, the problem keeps coming back.
What I have tried so far:
- Wii U Gamepad "out of range" workaround (see above)
- Completely disconnecting the Wii U from power supply for a few minutes (even hours)
- Resyncing the Wii U Pro Controllers
Possible causes:
- I had to hard reset the console once after a PSX ISO (Net Yaroze title...) froze
- I ran a Retroarch Update (not via built-in online updater but SD card, in order to get a DOSBox Core)
Really annoying issue, hopefully I am not the only one here having encountered this....
I appreciate your help!
