Actually you might not be too far off, supposedly the Switch OS is very similar to the underlying 3DS system. It'd probably be about as difficult to redirect different syscalls as it was for Nintendont when it was just starting out

you seem to forget the gpu... nintendont works becuase its the same exacty gpu so you get perfect graphics, nintendont does not emulate graphics, the 3ds emulator would need it big time.
