Hacking wii serial number ?

My wii as a custum case & don't have the serial number under it....

is there an app that give me the serial number ? syscheck maybe ?

I think if you dump the settings.txt, it has it perhaps. Dunno how to dump it though. NAND FS Dumper perhaps?

I'm trying to build a dios mios thing with sneek & I'm having a hard time so i found this app called
sneek-tools-gc-edition
& it is suppose to do most of the work but I have to put my serial number for it to start.....

N-E-1 can help me find it out ? or point me to a good tuto for dios mios knowing that I dont have sneek working yet ??

I'm using fstools to dump only the needed file but I dont see settings file ?

I used another tool called wiinand that let me explore my bootmii nand backup,
now I see all the files, I can extract one by one, tried to make a guess & extracted "sysconf" but I cant onpen it (tried with notepad but cant see wii serial)

n-e- idea ?

meanwhile I've read that with the wii "recovery disc" you have yor wii serial

I just can't find that wii recovery disc ......

Download and run it. In the app, click Open and select your setting.txt. The serial number will be shown along with a lot of other information about your console.

He installed a custom case (or someone else did) so their is no longer a serial code there.

He means the cardboard box the console came in from the store. The SN is printed on a sticker on one of the side panels.

I just fired up the pinkfish disk. It does indeed display the serial. It's the first one in the list on the right side.

It's an illegal warez disc that someone leaked online long ago. Nintendo use it internally for servicing Wiis or whatever, but somebody leaked it and most people on GBAtemp don't care about the law, so downloaded it illegally.
