Hi I have a Wii that I recently hacked that is 4.3U. I followed the Modify 4.2/4.3 guide and then when I try to go to the Wii Menu it just goes to a black screen. All I can go to is the Homebrew Channel and when I try to run my burnt game of Sonic Colours through NeoGamma or Gecko OS and it just goes black. I can run Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing with NeoGamma or Gecko OS. I tried using the up42u.zip to try to fix the Wii Menu but it didn't do anything. Does anyone know what I should do?

Edit: I just tested a legit game and it works fine.

Run syscheck and post the syscheck.csv (it creates this file on SD Card root) contents here

Maybe it can be recovered without a nand backup restore.

Yes I meant 6687, sorry for the typo.
Thanks. My Wii Menu is back!
Can you tell me how to get Sonic Colours to work though? Cuz Sonic Sega All-stars burnt game works but Sonic colours wont for some reason. Would you know why? It just goes to a black screen when I try to run it.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
