Trying to load wii games from usb loader gx forwarder crashes back to wii menu, loading from homebrew channel and then gx crashes to homebrew channel. Wii games are in wbfs format on a usb stick. Loading gamecube games by dios mios still works from usb loader gx. I have the exact same setup on another wii that still works. Playing wii discs still works fine. I was told the wii performed some kind of update after switching wifi networks.

What's the best course of action? Reinstall usb loader gx? Its weird that it loads gamecube games and shows all the wii games normally but can't load them. I've searched for others encountering this scenario but haven't found any.

Wii games depend on IOS
GameCube games depend on MIOS, that's why they are still working. you probably updated the IOS to official files but MIOS wasn't touch.

Reinstall the cIOS :
- Using modmii choose option to re-softmod,
or
- Using the d2x cIOS installer if you know which cIOS you need

yeah, they are incorrect :P

The correct one are:
Slot 249 : d2x cIOS based on IOS 56
Slot 250 : d2x cIOS based on IOS 57

Try v10 beta52 first.
v10 Beta 53 has more HDD compatibility but less EmuNAND compatibility.
v8 (instead of v10) is also a good alternative.

If USBLoaderGX is working but Wiiflow is not working, try reseting the settings in Wiiflow (It's now stored on the Wii, it should be in data management. go to Wii System menu > Data management > Save, and delete wiiflow save data)

Sorry to bump this but just to let anyone who might be helped, finally got access to the wii again and reinstalling cios via d2x installer fixed the issue.
