Hacking Wii freezes when trying to load bootmii.

OK I have an early wii, I think it was 2006 or 7 when I got it. It's on 3.0(as I've had no reason to update it) and now bootmii won't work at all. It says "if you paid for hbc it was a scam blah blah blah" and then won't go any further. i've tried using a gamecube controller in port 1, I've tried using my wii mote, I've tried using the face buttons. Nothing works.

So then, what's with this whole "oh yeah wii homebrew loaders are a ton better than they used to be." crap that I've read. It seems like their a billion times worse than they were in teh past.

Edit: also apaprently they never said "hey by the way this is going to take for a really long time" until one finally did. The letterbomb one told me that, so then I was forced to get 4.3 so whatever I guess, iv'e got no other options then. I guess I can at least feel good that it's usb 2.0 finally I guess which I would've required anyway since I don't want to be using a tiny sd card for most of it.

Sigh. You weren't forced to update to 4.3. It's entirely unnecessary, as anyone would have told you had you waited. You also don't seem to know the difference between BootMii and the HackMii installer. You are in this mess because:
  1. You couldn't wait 30 seconds for the scam screen to end
  2. You couldn't wait for a reply before deciding that you had to use Letterbomb.
Patience is a virtue.

It never said to wait on the bootmii faq page thing within the file. It said ok here you go, load it up and there you go. It was only _letterbomb_ that told me I had to wait. No sites said otherwise.

    If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

    I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

    There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"

    i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect

    Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

    That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
