Hi, I have been recently looking at the wii scene and found these wii clips which is handy cause I'm useless at soldering, now I know they have a different version for different chips and I know a site when I can get a pre soldered wii clip. I entered my serial into the wii chip.co.uk site and it gave me this result,
There is a 63% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-DMS
and a 37% chance that it is a GC2R-D2A.
and at the top it recommends
Wii Console Chipset type
DMS, D2A & D2B
Console Serial Code Range
LEH100xxx - LEH134xxx
Compatible Mod Chips
WiiKey, D2Pro, D2SUN, Wasabi 2
My main questions are
1. Which chip from the above would be the best to install (if there is a best that is)
2. Does updating you wii firmware have any chance of bricking the system (I'm on 3.1)
From the wii chip site I can get any of chips above, but the d2sun or the wiikey sounds the easiest as the rest possibly need some extra work (according to the wii clip site, like shorting or soldering 1 wire).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
