Every time I bought new from store or order online like Wish, Ebay, and Amazon. I usually put high volume because I am deaf so I love loud music, I have ear plug and it never get bust easily. Only overhead headphone. I need know which headphone won't get bust on right side with high volume.

If you purchase a quality headset then you wouldn't have that issue.
Cheap chinese shit you get off off Wish & eBay tend to break quickly.

Cheaply made drivers, cheaply made plastic, cheap prices.

This! They're breaking because you're buying cheap tat. On wish and ebay even the branded stuff is mostly counterfeit.

I refuse to buy expensive headphones because I know I will ruin myself becoming an audiophile. Can't afford to spoil myself like that lol
It's absolutely worth the money.

A collection of youtube-downloaded MP3s turns into a collection of FLACs, but then FLACs aren't enough and then you're going heavily into debt buying Tidal master track subscriptions and versions of only the highest quality available, and your favorite song SUCKS if it's not in the best clearest quality to exist.

I mean uh, go for it! I do love my Sennheisers.

There is also a massive range between the tat on ebay and wish and the audiophile level stuff. I always tend to go towards the cheaper end of the decent quality stuff. Sounds good, built well and doesn't break the bank.

Anything that is not ultra cheap probably.
Lately I am into getting Bluetooth headphones because I find them comfortable, but the following have also cheaper cable-only models:
  • Marshall Monitor (~90€ perhaps? / BT: €150)
  • Sennheiser Momentum 2 (~200€ perhaps? / BT: €250)
  • Sennheiser HD598 (~140€)
The perhaps part is what I think you can get them for in cable-only version and Bluetooth version.

I wouldn't get expensive headphones, as the sound price/quality ratio gets bad fast. Those I recommended I think are not that expensive and really good.
The one that sounds the best for me out of those is the HD598, and it is VERY comfortable. But that one comes in wired version only.

PS: If you don't care for sound quality you could probably get cheaper ones, but don't go too cheap. I would say probably anything from a respectable brand for above €50 should last.

If yo uwant a pair of headphones that will not break your bank and is in the so called "entry level" it's the ATH-M50x. They're really good for the price, but not the best. You might need to use a EQ to figure out the best settings.

Diminishing returns are real, but better sound quality isn't all you get with better headphones. Those Sonys I pictured above are incredibly well built, by hand in Japan. All structural parts of the headphone are metal - aluminum, titanium, stainless steel. The 'sliders' are aluminum and have precise clicking detents for each adjustment. The earpads are real sheepskin and filled with memory foam shaped to the contour of the head, the headband is the same sheepskin on the head side, tougher cowhide on top. They're as awesome to wear as they are to hear - no annoyances, no plasticky crackle noises, no microphonics, no structural weaknesses.

cheap headphones will eventually break. while the cables are always a source of grief (and the really expensive ones come with cables you can basically switch out), some of the cheaper ones might actually break from just being set to very loud for a while.

i've heard good things about
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...as=electronics&field-keywords=Sony-MDRXB450AP as they're supposedly very good for such a low price point.

for a little more, https://www.amazon.com/Status-Audio...3&sr=8-1&keywords=status+audio+cb1+headphones
might be better, as they come with a durable (and exchangable) cable.

Buy the AKG 220s off of Massdrop, they're 100% worth it if you've always had cheap headphones

Lemme guess, the cord comes out of the left earpiece? If that's the case, it's because the wire going between the pieces is always breaking or coming off of the drivers

Well I got bluetooth headphones in the hope that those wont break so quickly. I got the 2018 version of the iconx from samsung and I havent had any issues since I got them in may. But what I used to do was buy stock samsung headphones that come with the phones in bulk. They dont sound that bad and are pretty decent, especially since those are in ear. So if one breaks I can just open a new pack, so I dont have to get used to a new pair of headphones.

I always buy rando £20-30 brands and hey, they last long enough to justify the cost. Usually between a year or two, and they sound great to me. I always find more expensive ones have too much bass when it just hurts my ears lol.
Running with these atm: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00L30EFKM/

I was fortunate to be able to buy them on sale in Tokyo this summer on vacation (at the Ikebukuro BicCamera Main Store) for about half the price you saw. The Walkman was also discounted but not as generously. Decent exchange rate, plus sale price, plus tax-free tourist incentive. The total I paid for both the Z1R headphone and the WM1A Walkman was the same as you'd pay for just the headphones anywhere else. Still a lot of money though. But, the Walkman should last me at least 10 years, the headphones more.

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
