Just like the title says really. There's lots of talk about whether it's good or bad to use a flashcard on the 3DS, but I was wondering which among you have actually thrown caution to the wind and indulged in some good old NDS rom enjoyment. I'm currently on the fence myself. I own 3 3DS games (SFIV, Pilotwings, and Ridge Racer), but I'm absolutely jonesing for a good RPG, so am thinking of popping in my DSTWO. Please vote! It will be interesting to see the result

How the heck are they gonna ban you with a friend code? Unless each 3DS has a unique serial which I doubt it does.

I'd stay away from 3DS from now; you can play with a ds/dsl/dsi/dsixl without worrying you know.

In Japan, shops won't buy/repair your 3DS if it has record of using a flashcart on its log, so if you, by any chance, brick your 3DS (which I don't believe a flashcart alone can do), it won't get repaired even with warranty.

I decided that since they can't brick me, and that I don't really use online all that much, I threw caution to the wind and started using my AK on there. Good decision though; I don't need to dedicate a pocket to both the DSL and 3DS

Ah, i see. so there's an actual down side. Well I'd still use it. Who'd want to sell it to a game store for less than 50% of it's price. If you have some friends that happen to want one when you don't then both will profit.

it should the DS dsl dsi had one
remember
like in pokemon it said
"please use the ds every time you want to connnect"
also there's an option to change your "system code" to someone else on the DS wifi options menuu

Pretty interesting so far - seems to be a roughly even split. The May update should be fascinating - I wonder what will happen?

The only thing i use on my 3ds is my ds2 except for the maybe 1 race per day on ridge racer.Seriously i would be playing 3ds games all day if i had samurai warriors but no store has that game left

Really? Every store I have checked has had it. Radiant Histortia on the DS, however...

Well since I have a DSi anyway I wouldn't want to risk it. They didn't allow flash carts for nothing. I have a feeling they've got something up their sleeve.

DSi for flashcart and DS games; 3DS for 3DS games. Simple...

I'll be using mine when I get it in the mail eventually. Stunned that people actually got fooled by the scare tactics.

Actually your poll should have a third choice of "Wait and see what Ninty's up to..."

I've got a DSL, DSi and a 3DS in my stable and there's no good reason to put a flashcart in my 3DS when all it does is let me play DS games.

I voted "No" but that could change.
