Rather it's a job or hobby good or bad I'm curious to know if anyone has anything interesting stories. If it made your life more enjoyable or complicated.

For a few years I was sinked into the grocer retail industry. I made a career out of it even with quitting 3 different times due to personal reasons they kept taking me back. After 5 years I just got fed up with the cooperate life style. Definitely a good starter job regardless of the horror stories you may hear. I still enjoy my trips to stores, seeing new products they come out with, trying a new drink or some absurd sauce they may come out with.

Hobby wise definitely the computer industry since it's basically Legos for adults like many users here are part of. I haven't really kept up with it as much these days.

I found myself enjoying maintenance and housekeeping jobs. It turns out I am a bit of boywife and love cleaning.
I am glad this was my 28K post

FPGA for retro game preservation has a tight grip on me right now... Pretty happy with my MiSTer and my Analogue Pocket, and my Super NT and my FP-GBC...

Oh, I have a problem. 😅

Similar to those articles that google did its best to shut down, my work involves a place where Vietnam Marines told me they would rather go through everything they did in the war all over again than complete an eight-hour shift where I was. They quit on the seventh hour and said things ranging from it being an impossible job to commending me on my resilience. I’ll spare the details of their casual conversations with me involving death, best friends, and turrets, but for some to be so relaxed about death in war and then crack under pressure and give up before the first day was done, and I find myself doing what they left for thirteen years. This they did have, though, they were among the most respectable ones amidst those that couldn’t make it at my job. And that is why I tend to find more respect among Vietnam Veterans by far than the newer and far more arrogantly incompetent generation of U.S. soldiers.

UNFORTUNATELY, PORN. They told me that (I WAS PROMISED!!!) after 4 scenes with a couple of guys, that I'd get to have all the most gorgeous women in the world. Well, it's been roughly 20 scenes now, and and I can't even sit in the driver's seat of my own car. I necessitate the assistance of one of those donut shapped miniture rafts to sit on. No women either. Not a goddamned THING. Alright, 30 times more of this shit and I'm OUT.

IT in general, been loving working with computers since I was 12. I remember when my mom bought me an HP desktop from Walmart back in 1998 and it came with no operating system. So I sat in my room for weeks entering DOS commands trying to figure out how to get Windows on it until I figured it out and a friend lent me their WIndows 98 disc to install it.

I love mythology and folklore. I read a small African mythology anthology in middle school, and I've been studying and reading since then. I try to read a "new" story every week, though that doesn't happen as frequently as I like. Still, I've read/learned about thousands of stories by now, and I can't get enough.

I've always been fascinated by computers and modding consoles and I don't think this hobby will go away. There have been so many great people out there who have shared their knowledge with me.
Yeah, I think my interest in video games naturally led to the whole computer fascination. I learned about compatible parts before there were websites that did the work for you. I enjoy building PC's, and I've considered a Pi several times just for the experience of getting it up and running.
