i got the sys-play.kip module and i wanna install it, how do i install it?
Or if they are not using Hekate - in atmosphere/kipsYou place it wherever you state in hekate_ipl.ini

- Add the kip file to hekate INI (something like kip1=sys-play.kip)
Yes, completely agree, was simply answering the query as stated.Or if they are not using Hekate - in atmosphere/kips
Still kips are not something you should use. Atmosphere keeps support for them because of backwards compability reasons, but you should feel discouraged to do that since they are invasive and brings more instability to system.
If something is kip, then probably it's so old that it won't even run on newest version of atmo/FW since nobody supports kips anymore.
The newest background audio player can be found here that is not a kip and has proper overlay

There is a template in Switch-examples repo how to make your own sysmodule.Just out of interest, what would be the current proper replacement of kips ? I’m thinking to start Switch development and was thought to start with a simple module first to get into it.
Thanks a lot. Will study this !There is a template in Switch-examples repo how to make your own sysmodule.

To compile this you need to set devkitpro environment and download Switch-dev package from included pacman.
