I don't think there's any place yet selling these at a good price. There's just not enough stock and this has taken to make prices higher on listings. Your best bet would be to wait for Japan's release of Smash Bros. and hope there'll be enough surplus adapters from there so you can import it at a reasonable price. So that's a week from now.

They have been selling them separately in EBGames/GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. But since those were limited in-stock, it was basically first-come-first-serve. I mean, some sellers even said that Nintendo is not planning on making more of them (don't take my word for it though). If you didn't purchase one in the first few days of Smash Wii U release, you might be out of luck. Of course, there's always Amazon or eBay, but the prices that most resellers have are ridiculous (over $100) and so they're obviously trying to take advantage of the limited GC Adapter to make some extra cash.

Just wait for Nintendo to make more. With how much they have advertised them there is no way they are going to just stop producing them. They would miss out on a ton of money if they do

This. Since there was no official indication that the bundle with the adapter was a limited edition or the adapters themselves will be available in limited quantities, I'm sure Nintendo will make more. It would make only sense from a business POV as well. We'll just have to wait it out.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
