I had glacier (transparent) GBA & i had no games for it for 2 days because i got my games off ebay.
then i was stuck with Lady Sia until I got Super Mario Advance & Mario Kart Super Circuit -- also had a couple GB games for it, including Zelda DX (beating a professional game reseller at the auction for it is what got me a job in Seattle, to boot!)

The first GBA I got was a silver GBA SP.
Didn't have a GBA game for a few days, though. Played Pokémon Crystal on it.
Then my mom brought me to Wal-Mart and I chose LeafGreen (Should've gotten Ruby or Sapphire...)

But then I loved LeafGreen to death. It was the first Pokémon game where I ever trained a full team of six instead of only training my starter.
I remember it clear as day (almost.) I had a Venusaur, a Ninetales and a Seaking in my team.
I remember training Seaking so I could beat Blaine. Then reaching Ice Cave and not having to go get HM07 because Seaking had learned it.

It was ALMOST a pink one... I was at Toys R Us and it's all they had on display. I asked them if they could check the back for more and they reluctantly went... they came back with the Glacier Purple one (which is what I wanted) and I was happy. :D

I got Super Mario Advance and Pokemon Crystal with it (came out around the same time).

I had the plain white/grey GBA, because I'm boring. I got it with no games, because I was still content with the GB/GBC games that I had and it wasn't a cheap purchase.
Eventually I got some GBA games, which I thought were awesome, before getting the silver GBA SP with the SMB3 remake.

I had a white one, and got that Super Dodgeball Advance game (because I thought it was going to be super awesome). It was OK, but way too bare-bones for me. I never bought a single GBA game after that, and sold it after it gathered dust for about two years (give or take a few times playing FFL1 on it).

Of course when I got a computer good enough to emulate the GBA, I was playing JP games nonstop... it had quite the impressive library, and I really wish I had been able to buy those games when I had my actual GBA (I'm not a huge fan of playing GBA games on DS because of the way they stick out the bottom.... and even then, I never really built up a GBA library because I got my DS so late).

I got mine a year or so after launch, a clear blue/purple one with Tomb Raider (which wasn't the best combination as the game's dark colour palette made it pretty difficult to see without a backlight). Only got it because I couldn't afford a TV and TV Licence to take the PSX to uni but I'm glad I did, there were some brilliant games on that thing :)

Got a Limited Edition Platinum GBA along with Golden Sun and a GBC Animorphs game for my birthday/Christmas back in '02. That thing was a tank, survived through all sorts of abuse until well after I got my first DS. Even had someone spill a triple-thick McD's strawberry milkshake on it with pretty much no ill effects, although the A and B buttons stuck for about a week.

I still have my transparent purple one (it's a little dirty, but still functions!) And my first game was...I think Super Mario Advance and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire :P I never want to part with old consoles if they still work, it's always hard...all the memories...MUST PLAY GBA NAAAO.

I purchased mines on launch day at ( at the time ) EB games and since I didn't preorder it they " forced me " to get a stupid boundle ( the absolutely last one they promiced ) with a rechargable battery kit and a stupid case.

Anyway it was an artic white GBA and the game that made that sold me the system was Castlevania Circle of the moon ( I'm a huge fan ).
There was another game maybe Rayman Andvance or F-Zero Advance but that Castlevania game almost made me blind, it was so dark !!
I remember trying all kind of solution to get to a decent light saurce at in the end the back seat of a subway car in NY was the ideal spot.
I can't believe I played a non-backlit system for so many years without complaining ( 1989 GB > 2005 GBA , then got me a DS Phat, a GBA SP 2 and then a DS lite and much later an XL ). Nowadays it seems unaccatable..........the good old times !

I remember washing the cars and doing garden work for all my neighbours when the GBA first came out in order to buy it.
Solid purple model with Rayman which I repeatedly played over and over.

I'd quite enjoy a life of taking it easy. But I haven't reached that life yet.

I just played little of "Still Wakes The Deep" , just came to gamepass today, its alright, kinda creepy. I'm not usually a horror game fan, but it looks really good graphic wise, esp w 4k. I admit it made me jump a few times.
