Hacking when i go to use cheats on metriod prime

with the new gc loade02

i use action replay.

i select my cheats and hit start than it says "open the lid" so i hit eject on my wii
and take out backup of action replay
than says "please insert metroid prime and close the lid..."

i stick in metriod prime non backup dvd game into my wii , and i get"please wait.." screen.
it just sit's there forever saying "please wait..."
