Nintendo can at best keep up til Winter 2018 and I believe that should be over 7 million with the supply issue in mind.
Then it's kind of up to third parties.

Nintendo keeps on bragging about the "80+ games in development" so hopefully they'll release those games and exclusives too.

Here's exclusives I'd like to see return:

• F-Zero
• Metroid
• Kirby
• Donkey Kong
• Earthbound
• Kid Icarus
• Star Fox
• Advance Wars
• Yoshi
• Super Smash Bros. (a deluxe version of the WiiU version with all the DLC content)
• Pokémon (a traditional RPG, not that Rock/Paper/Scissor game called Pokkén Tournament)

I am agreeing with you. I will wait and see after E3 for the 3rd parties. That's my main concern before we can decide to purchase the Nintendo Switch this fall. Wii U was the reason we avoided and not purchased it at all due to the poorly 3rd parties.

I'd love to see a new F-Zero game, but on the other hand, I'm pretty sure it would have the name "F-Zero" but a gameplay that has nothing to do with it. So if that's the only options, I'd rather them not do a new F-Zero.

Besides Captain falcon being incredibly hot I don't see f-zero becoming a fighting game. And it needs to compete with Mario Kart 8 and fast RMX which means screwing over themselves or an indie with good standing.

I was saying F zero would take away sales from fast RMX which will sour standing with indie devs and cannibalize Mario Kart 8.
