CFW help - NSP wont install

I recently put my switch on CFW and I think I've missed a step somewhere along the line.
I am running the latest atmos, hekate, fusee, etc. I wiped my SD clean before starting, and I've been using Awoo to try and install my backed up NSP. I keep getting error codes about the NCA.
I am using sysmmc. I believe the issue is with the sigpatches. What should I do? All I can think of is to wipe the system again and start over.

If see messages like 'this software cannot be started' then more pirate training is needed because the sigpatches/syspatch module is not installed correctly.

Messages about the NCA usually means a bad dump.
Dumping your own games isn't always as straightforward as it sounds.
Try some homebrew NSP to see if that installs correctly.
Sometimes it helps using another installer like DBi or GoldLeaf with your own dumps.

I tried goldleaf but the application wouldnt launch. I'm on 21.1.0, i get the message 'this application does not support the ABI'.
I was able to install homebrew NSP via Awoo

I did try installing sigpatches but I'm not sure how to install the syspatch module. I also heard emummc would help?

If you've ran any pirated backups on your sysMMC you're going to be banned soon. No idea why a person wouldn't use emuMMC from the start.

Also, goldleaf wouldn't work because you probably used the original outdated version instead of a fork thats been patched to work with fw 21 and latest atmosphere. Look here to find updated versions for a lot of homebrew for fw 21.x.

Just kinda found it confusing. I haven't done that so I should be good, but I am thinking of starting fresh and switching to emu.

I know on the vita you're able to downgrade fw. Is there something similar for switch, and is it reccomended?

Generally downgrade is based on fuses count, the fuses count is meant for anti downgrade. In the case below the fuses count is 20, if you downgrade to something lower than expected firmware the system refuse to boot without custom bootloader.

Not really necessary to downgrade, what is your firmware and fuses count?

I also have an issue with installing nsps now. When I use awoo to attempt to install, it gives me an error message that says the following. Tinfoil just crashes. Some installed games work fine. Some close with a generic message that says there was an error. Some games say corrupted data was found. One game, dragon quest 3 says for some reason, your online use is restricted by Nintendo. Only that game. They all worked before.

What happened to cause this:
I switched sd cards.
When I booted into atmosphere and loaded a game, it asked me to update my system software, I accidentally said yes so now I'm on the latest switch fw whoops. So I had to update to the latest atmosphere.
Now I have this mess.

Oddly I tried going back to my old SD card, put the new atmosphere on it, and wifi doesn't work, sleep mode is broken, and I can't even manage my games so going back to my old SD card is no go.
