Can someone tell me what is the best image burner for ps2 games?
I would go with nero. Use the slowest burn speed.
DVD games are single track, nothing special. You should be able to burn them with anything. More important is the media and potentially the drive.
Thank you....i'm trying to burn final fantasy x-2 but something goes always wrong...I can't understand why but the game doesn't run
I Tried with alcohol 120%, image burn and nero but nothing changes
i used to use Imgburn for my games. i dont really burn dvds anymore
As @smf said, the media type and drive can be factors as well. PS2 games are finicky like that. I've personally had better luck with -r. Rw wouldnt work at all. And I used a Sony burner.
could be that my computer burner doesn't work anymore?
I would try using different format dvd's before coming to that conclusion. Especially if it works for other things. Most modern disc burners should be able to handle it.
I usually use dvd-r...what format should I try?
I'm already using Verbatim dvd-r
[sorry for this double post]
I always use high quality media with imgburn
Sorry I didn't read well...Let me check
How do you run your backups BTW ? ESR or mod-chip ?
I cheked and the dvd i use are manufactured by mcc
I don't know...a friend gave the ps2 to me
How can i understand it?
do i have to esr patch the iso file before i burn it?
If you use FMCB yes.
But I your PS2 modded?
FMCB isn't installed...do i have to install it to run burned games?
Untill this moment all games i burned run well on my ps2
There is only 2 ways to play CD/DVD backups : mod-chip or ESR. You dont exactly need FMDB/FHDB to run ESR, you just need a way to run unsigned code.
What is your PS2 model ? (SCPH ?)
If it's a Fat, do you have a network adapter ?
I was thinking "maybe you don't have a modchip/FMCB"
Maybe it is a bad iso or something.
