Sounds like they're made with an expiry date then. All of my games work thankfully.Yep, had it happen with my copy of Sm4sh (stopped working for no reason at all 4 days after I got it), with Darksiders 2 after not playing for a long time, MH3U (i played the shit out of that game though, 1000+ hours) and the list goes on.
Skylanders SuperChargers WiiU disc is an odd one though, the loading times tend to take a while to load up properly and freeze also.
I'd say this is something that WiiU collectors aren't aware of because, it matters that the games actually work otherwise it's a waste of plastic and valueless (well, not entirely but loses a lot of its value).
Nintendo is just stingy about paying for licences. They did the same on Wii which could have read DVDs but they decided it should only play Wii games.The real reason Wii U doesn't support normal blu-rays is that it would have enabled piracy instantly.
