Misc WFC question

Need some answers about WFC.
Firstly, I've never played on WFC, but my friend has a WFC game that he's never played on WFC. He let me play the game. I was going to try out the WFC, but it said something about pairing. Also, if I somehow erased the savegames (drastic, but might work) could he register his own WFC code? I don't wanna steal his ID or anything.

DS Friend Codes are generated with a combination of the game and the DS unit. So any friend code you use will be unique to your DS and that particular game. If your friend uses the same game on a different DS, he will get a different friend code. No need to worry about stealing his ID.
