Hacking webMAN fan settings and temperatures - need advice

So I decided to give webMAN another shot, but I wonder:
In the default system setting (or without webMAN) the CPU stays in the low to mid 70s in-game (though I only play less hardware eating games like JRPGs) while being relatively silent. With webMAN set to keep 65C all the time, the fan speed is around 45-50% in-game (and sounding like a jet engine).

So could this webMAN setting keeping the 65C be perhaps damaging the system due to the more active fans creating some sort of temperature difference by having very fast fan speeds? Not to mention that the noise is quite EXTREME even at 45% fan speeds. I don't know, this loud noise makes me think I might be damaging my PS3.

Should I perhaps rather use the default/standard system fan config and have it running at higher temps as intended by SONY (in my case 70-75C in-game)?

Edit: also, what is the difference between the dynamic control and auto setting? Should I keep dynamic control + auto activated or rather define a manual percentage of fan speeds?

Faster spinning fans won't damage your PS3.
If anything, slower spinning fans do damage it.

I think dynamic adjusts the fans based on temperatures.

I thought "auto" where I also set the desired temperature would do this. So what if I toggle dynamic and untoggle auto?

I honestly don't know but I'd aim to keep temps below 70c.

I kept mine at around 45% fan speed, I get temperature around low 70ish when gaming, and 60ish when idle.

Hmmm... Right now my fan goes up to 50% or even above in-game to keep the 65C which is extremely noisy to me... Could I maybe set the desired temperature to 68C without worries?

Depends on if you reball your CPU/GPU, fan control won't help much if your paste is dry out. You can play around and see what speed you like more, faster speed would be louder and kill the fan blade faster.
