Can I add something to the discussion?

I can download comics from friends, not sure about records, games don't work.

I use DSTTi with 1.17a12 and YSmenu

My friend says he uses an original R4 with Wood R4 and e can download stuff but that's a different thread for a different time.

will these patches work for a trimmed DIY rom?

e.g.
1) patch a rom using the patcher then trim it.
or
2) trim a rom then use the extinfo.dat without patching

Okay, confirmed to work for N5 + YSMenu (its an R4 clone).
Clean ROM + infolib.dat, extinfo.dat, savlib.dat (i didnt patch the rom anymore)
Creating a SAV for the first time file took quite a while. the generated SAV filesize is a whopping 32mb.

EDIT 2:
Trimmed rom is also working for N5 + YSMenu

How did you get it to work with N5? Patched and unpatched give black screens :S

Don't know why I post in this 2 years old thread. But for you who are still wondering, you can try playing this in EDGE. So far, I tested
to receive products from my Wii (I have WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase) and from NinSoft and the result is great.

But be aware tough, when I checked on my PC the save is around 32 MB !
And that's just some shelves of records, games, and comics !

EDIT : Forgot to mention that you need to use the untrimmed , clean version.
