Sorry to bother you all, i have a dumb question, i launched waithax around 30min ago thinking it will be enough to use the dsiwarehax installer (i'm on 11.1 with hbl acces). But then i saw that it needed to be intergrated in the dsiwarehax installer and Mrrraou released the tool during this time, so my question is, considering that the hax is still launching on my n3ds, can i interrupt the process or should i wait until it finishes ? Thanks and sorry ^^'

just interrupt it by holding down the power button and restart your 3ds

this wont work with the new dsiwarehax method right? since not only the public.sav needs to be changed, but also the .app.

Could someone compare their MD5 hash for the built 3DSX file? I'm not 100% sure it built correctly but I have the file.
Here is the hash of the file built on my end.

Code:
1d58414ea318d0889802b23274d5c966 waithax-master.3dsx

Slow hax gets full kernel execution rights meaning it can read write to anywhere it wants that's the only reason it can even make the modded save

I used https://github.com/Mrrraou/waithax. I will look into the other repo to see if it's kind of what I'm looking for.

EDIT: Does this currently work fully? If so, that was awfully quick for an implementation!
of course it does... i implemented it in 3ds_dsiwarehax_installer in 1hour or so...
i said it was easy...

Well damn. One thing though... I am having trouble building it. I get this error.
Code:
/home/ben/devkitPro/devkitARM/base_rules:84: recipe for target '3ds_dsiwarehax_installer.o' failed
make[1]: *** [3ds_dsiwarehax_installer.o] Error 1
Makefile:135: recipe for target 'build' failed
make: *** [build] Error 2

I am on Linux and I am building with this command
Code:
sudo DEVKITPRO=~/devkitPro/ DEVKITARM=~/devkitPro/devkitARM make

Anything I am doing wrong?

if you're using sudo, ~ ($HOME) will be root's $HOME
why are you building as root ?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
