like what can this do that BFGR cant?
It's smart enough to always use binary mode for output files so it doesn't write bad ticket, tmd or cert files.

(BFGR shares files under vista? WTF are you talking about?)

Except this has already been made before

. No offense, its a great looking app, but why reinvent the wheel?

When you unpack a ZIP archive in less of 2 minutes (as in the MyMenu video)... You can certainly reinvent the wheel... Because Open a ZIP and extract the content take 10s or less... But my sentence it's no offense too

Wait when the future versions of WADEdiiT is release... An you see a spinner wheel instead of a wheel!
You are just jealous but I'm not irritate to you

Don't blame it on the OS if the software is not compliant. When bfgr extracts a wad, it creates a new folder and throws the unpacked contents in it, and that folder for some reason is SHARED by default.

i'm new to a lot of this stuff, so please bare with me on this retard question--- what is this program for? what can you do with it?

i opened up a wad and it extracted a bunch of files, but what can you do with those files?

how about this for a "can i?" -- i've got an injected wad-- the game does not match the channel picture, etc .. can i use this program to modify the graphics?

and BFGR's code is perfectly fine. The real reason is probably found in Cygwin.

It's not fine, because bfgr creates problems, and WADEdiiT doesn't. It seems you really are jealous because for once there is a good wad tool that works properly AND has a good GUI, which can't be said about 90% of the crap that this pathetic scene puts out. If you are going to threadcrap, then go find another target and let the man do his work.

It's not fine. Whoever ripped off segher's code for zeventig changed the fopen calls for the .app files to "wb" mode but wasn't smart enough to do the same thing for the tmd and ticket (and trailer and cert). Hence it writes 0x0D 0x0A instead of just 0x0A because the output file is in text mode.

What a relief

I was just wondering why the hell extracted certs are not verified by wadsigncheck
